Sometimes i wonder, don't you?
Why water is clear, the sky blue
What's false, what's true
What I think or what I feel
There's more questions than answers,
Less medicines than cancers
I like to look at the sky
I see stars, he sees me
My wondering is a disease
Mortality is the cure
It's a scary thought for sure
A scarier thought is to fail,
To stumble, fall, to be frail
To look back with regret
Never able to forget,
What it felt like to dream
Yet it's all out of reach
I wonder if he really cares
When it pours, if he scares
If we were formed in his face,
Why don't we share in his fate?
To live large, live free
Ignore time and just be
If all is as was meant,
We can't be early, can't be late
Can't be worse, can't be better
There's no reason to be bitter,
No chance to be greater
We're puppets in fate's show
We live long, die slow
Pretend, we aren't pretending
Like our story is never ending
Or live fast, die soon
As wolves howl at the moon,
We try to sink a balloon
Tempt fate, break the rules
Ignore the wise for the fools
Choose to forge our own way
I wonder if we can make it
If the heart is a compass
If we truly have a purpose
I wonder if life is a song
If we always have to belong
Do we really have to sing along?
Sometimes I wonder, don't you?-Constino
