"What's a poem ever really about or not?"

Maybe I could write me a song.
I wonder, who will sing it for all.
It should be right & nice, it's the goal.
It shall be mine, to me it will belong.
It will be a few lines, it won't be too long.
First comes pride, then mighty the fall.
I know my friends, I'll answer their call.
Besides, my phone rings loud and true like a gong!

Please will you sit and hear my story.
It's all I have and a pence and a dime.
Before you leave, here's one for the road.
It's not for the wealth, rewards and glory.
It's all for a minute of your time.
And the rest, it's between me and my God.

This is a sonnet. I finally got it- cheers to me. Thanks for your minute(!?)
