Little footsteps walked up and down the hallway in the well decorated apartment as little Mitsuko was pretending to be an astronaut on a mission in space.

She had a cardboard helmet on her head that she had painted and glued pieces onto herself and then a red cape that her mother bought her one year for her birthday. A small toy of a rocket ship was being held in her hand and a plastic UFO in the other, the pair were constantly made to attack each other as she lived in her own little world.

Dozens of "pew's", "pow's" and many other noises reverberated throughout the apartment as the small girl used the furniture as obstacles. The chairs and cushions were unevenly placed rocks on whatever planet she was pretending to be on and the tables were the cliffs that occasionally stopped her in her tracks. Sometimes, she would even lift up the rocket ship to her face so she could speak to it and she would say things like: "this way is blocked, we need to find another way around!". However, Hayami's favourite line from her daughter was "Houston we have a problem!" Because her mother wasn't completely sure she knew exactly what it meant since she would use the phrase at any given time. Hayami was currently preparing a few drinks and snacks for when Bokuto was due to arrive at around noon, at least she thought that's when she invited him over anyway.

It wouldn't matter if he showed up earlier since the apartment was all clean and tidy and everything they would need was already set out on the island. She had thought long and hard last night about what to go over with him today and she eventually settled on something that could be seen as crucial but for most it wouldn't be easy depending on their financial situation. You see, Hayami loved to take Mitsuko out to places like the aquarium or a small space centre nearby but some weeks they were just too short of money to be able to go, but she still put in her best effort so that Mitsuko could have the best childhood she could provide for her. It's the least Hayami thought she could do since she brought Mitsuko into this world when she herself was still quite young.

"Mitsu do you know what you'd like for lunch yet?" The mother asked the young girl with quite a loud voice to ensure the smaller one of the two heard the other, but no response was received. "Mitsu?" Yet again there was no response but Hayami knew her daughter could hear her since she was looking around the room each time her name was called. What she wanted was for her mother to use a specific title with her.
