(Sophie's POV)

Sophie woke up to a pounding in her head. Loud noises were everywhere along with loud conversations.

When she opened her eyes the words sharpened and doctors were hovering over her.

The words now felt like knives.

She screamed for someone to stop the noises.

The doctors didn't seem to understand.

She just kept thrashing and they had trouble restraining the frantic five year old.

When one of the doctors pinned her, he poked her with a needle.

Sophie stopped struggling.

Sighing as her eyelids got heavier.

As she saw her nervous mother standing in the doorway, she started to drift in the darkness.

She ignored the rest world as it faded to black.

(Oralie POV)

Oralie was inside of the RV when she heard Alex scream for help.

She looked outside to see Sophie on the ground bleeding and unconscious.

Oralie ran outside.

"Oh my God," Oralie screamed.

She went to her daughter's side.

"Sophie can you hear me," she asked.

She saw Alex's dad watching them.

"Call 911," she yelled at him.

She didn't trust human doctors that well, but they were the only people to help her.

A few minutes later an ambulance came.

They put Sophie's unconscious form on a stretcher and put her in the ambulance.

Oralie got in the ambulance with them.

When they got to the hospital, they put Sophie in a room.

They brought Oralie outside with Alex.

"What happened," the nurse asked.

Oralie felt such nervousness coming from Alex.

After five years, Oralie still trained in empathy.

"We were climbing trees and she fell. She hit a couple branches, and unconscious when I came down," Alex said

The nurse nodded.

After many hours, Sophie woke up screaming and thrashing.

She was yelling, "Stop the noises."

The doctors gave her a sedative and she fell asleep.

The doctor pulled Oralie outside.

"What's going on with her," Oralie said.

"The fall might have done something to her brain. Sometimes that happens when kids fall. After they fall, they hear things that we can't explain. My advice is to give her some pain relief to help her sleep."

"When will I get to take her home?"

"I say tomorrow when Sophie wakes up."

Oralie stayed with Sophie at the hospital even if it meant sleeping in an uncomfortable chair.

When Sophie woke up, the doctor gave her the all clear to go home.

It was nearly nighttime.

Oralie helped Sophie change into pink pajamas and some comfortable UGG boots.

Oralie picked Sophie up started outside.

She took the bus, nearly there Sophie was clutching her head with a pain expression on her face.

"You okay sweetheart," Oralie asked.

"Mommy, my head hurts and I can hear things," Sophie said.

Oralie started to wonder something that might be what.

"Can you tell me what that man is thinking," Oralie asked pointing at a stranger.

"He thinks we're crazy for pointing at him," Sophie responded.

That confirmed it, Sophie was a Telepath.

Sophie went into Oralie's lap and cuddled against her chest.

"It's okay," Oralie assured, "we'll be home soon."

Oralie stroked Sophie's hair.

Oralie felt pain and nervousness from Sophie.

When they got to their stop, Oralie got out of the bus.

She walked with Sophie and she leaned her head against Oralie's shoulder.

They got to the RV.

Oralie put Sophie to bed, and she went outside to think.

How could she teach her daughter telepathy if she is only an empath?

She wished Kenric were here.

Tomorrow it will be a big day.
