Chapter 8

I woke up around 8:00 am. I'm not sure.

I slept in Zeke's bed, and he slept in the floor. I remember what happened last night.

What I said last night was so embarrassing! I said to him that he forgot to kiss my lips. Damn that's so embarrassing.

I was thinking about what happened last night when Zeke came in the room.

"Goodmorning, did you just woke up?" Zeke asked with a warm smile as soon as he came inside.

"G-goodmorning, yeah I just woke up." I answered and smiled back.

"Marley informed me earlier that we need to go to Warrior Unit, they said they will get us picture." Zeke said.

"Oh, okay." I answered and I got up from the bed and I went to their bathroom to take a bath.

After I took a bath, I change my clothes in to the unifrom we used to wear and I wear my red armband. My armband changed into red because I'm already a warrior. 2 years ago, when I was not yet a warrior, my armband used to be yellow.

I went downstairs and I saw Zeke and his grandparents.

"Goodmorning Y/N, let's eat breakfast so that you can go to Warrior Unit." Zeke's grandmother said.

"Goodmorning Mrs. Jarger, and Mr. Jaeger." I greeted with a smile. Mr. Jaeger greeted back at me and they both smiled.

"Were you comfortable sleeping in Zeke's room last night?" Mrs. Jarger asked. I'm comfortable sleeping there, obviously he was just caressing my cheeks and I fell asleep immediately, means, I'm really comfortable there.

"That's good. By the way, you're leaving in 1 day right?" Mrs. Jarger asked. I looked at Zeke and he's just quiet, listening.

"Yes." I answered. My answer is just short because I don't want to think about it now.

She just nod at me and we eat silently until Zeke and I decided to go to Warrior Unit.

I noticed Zeke was being quite the earlier until now.

"Hey, are you alright?" I asked him. I'm worried about him.

"H-huh? Yeah of course I'm alright." He replied and he laughed. His laugh seems to be fake, maybe something's really bothering him.

I quickly stood up in front of Zeke and he stopped walking.

"You're really quiet, is something bothering you?" I asked.

He sighed before he speak.

"Yeah somethings bothering me." He answered while looking at me.

"What is it?" I asked him.

He sighed again. "Because you're leaving in 1 day. How I wish I'm one of the chosen warrior to go to Paradis Island." He said sighing again.

"It's alright. I promised to you right? that I'll come back, besides, if I die, there's nothing we can do about it." I said to him and I smiled to comfort him.

"Don't say that." He said.

"Well, no one knows what will happen." I said and I chuckled. We continued to walk until we reached the warrior unit.
