Skyler's POV

"Skylerrrrrrr! Wake up!"

I groaned then opened my eyes to see my twin, Tyler, smiling down at me.

"What could you possibly need that requires you to wake me up?" I asked him as I looked over at my clock. 7:23 am.

"It's our first day at our new school. We leave in 30 minutes." He says as he walks out of my room.

I got out of bed then make my way towards my closet. I pick out my usual outfit which consists of my favorite pair of light blue mom jeans, a black oversized band shirt, and my white sneakers then head over to my bathroom and turn on my shower. After I'm out of the shower, I put on my clothes and brush out my wavy dirty blonde hair that reaches my waist then put it up into a messy bun. I put some mascara and eyeliner on then grab a pair of running shorts and an oversized plain black tee and put it in my black bag then make my way downstairs.

Tyler tosses me a breakfast bar as we head out to his car. I grab my skateboard while Tyler grabs his and put it in the trunk of his car then get in.

"Hey Ty, remember what we promised? Stick together? Right?" I look at him as he stops at a stoplight. Me and Tyler are as close as siblings come. I mean, we're twins. We've always stuck together ever since we were born. We're protective of each other and have done everything together. I can't imagine not having him in my life. He glances at me then smiles.

"Of course Skyles. We stick together no matter what. I bet we'll get the same schedule and our lockers next to each other." He chuckles then says, "If we happen to get a few classes without each other, I doubt that will happen, then you gotta promise to text me if anything happens or if you get uncomfortable. I'll do the same." He smiles again then parks into an empty spot at the school.

Eastwood High Wolverines. The high school me and Tyler would be attending for the next 2 years. We're in our junior year. Both 16.

The building itself was all white. All the doors were black while the windows were a light grey. (grey? gray? I never know which one to use so I stick to 'grey' XD) There was two buildings. One of them, the biggest one, was the main building. The other one looked like the band/orchestra/choir/drama room. Like this one building could have 4 big separate classrooms for the music/drama kids. We get out of the car and I instantly smell the air. It's like an old bookstore. I don't know how to describe it but that's how it smells to me.

I could already see the groups of stereotypes: the jocks (players), athletic students (play sports 24/7), the gamers/nerds/band geeks, the barbies/bimbos (wears tight clothes), and the loners/stoners. From what I noticed, none of the stereotypes talk to each other except for the jocks and barbies of course. You could tell how the mood was around each group. It was confusing and stressful to see how many moods there were at the school. (oh god, my description skills are shit don't hate me :/ )

Once we got to the sidewalk and like I predicted, the stares start. I'm an anxious and shy person at school so of course, I hide a little behind Tyler. The whispers start as we walk to the office to receive our schedules and locker numbers.

Wow they look like twins!

Are those the new kids?

Woah he's hot!!

I look up at Tyler and find him glaring at something so I look at what that something is and see 3 guys our age looking me up and down. I squeak and grab onto Tyler's arm. He looks down at me and gives me a small smile that says Hey they can't hurt you. Tyler has always been a bit more overprotective of me than I am with him.

Ever since our sorry excuse of a father has started beating us and touching me, he's been 10 times protective of me, especially around guys. I'm not as scared of teenage guys as I am of older dudes because I've had many guy friends in the past. I don't usually keep a girl friend for long because I can't really stand girls. All they ever talk about is boys, sex, clothes, and girly stuff. Plus, I got a feeling girls hate me because of how I dress and because of the fact that all I ever talk about is skateboarding, sports, and food. Like guys do.

I guess you can say that I'm not much of a girl. I'm a tomboy. Well, that's what Tyler calls me. I go to the skatepark almost every day. I don't ever wear a skirt or dress unless it's absolutely required. I like almost everything teenage guys do. I'm basically one of the guys.

Anyways, enough about that.

We finally make it to the office and see a 30-year-old lady sitting in front of a computer.

"Excuse me?" Tyler says to the lady.

She looks up at us from her computer then gives us a huge smile. I can't help but smile back.

"What can I help you two with?" She already seems nice.

"We're new here and would like to get our schedules and locker numbers."

"Alrighty can I get your names please?"

"Tyler and Skyler Valdez." When she hears how similar our names are, she beams at us.

"I can already tell you two are twins! Alright here are your schedules, it looks like you two have the same schedule and lockers are right next to each other. We don't have PE uniforms but make sure to at least wear running shorts and a tee shirt that doesn't have any graphics on it. Also, here's a map of the school just in case you get lost, although I have a feeling you two won't. You guys have your school supplies?" We both nodded. "Alright then you should be good to go! Have a great first day you two." We smile at her as she hands us both a map, our schedule, and locker numbers. We, of course have the same schedule.

1st Period ~ AP US History

2nd Period ~ Advanced Art

3rd Period ~ Advanced Math 3

4th Period ~ Honors Physics

5th Period ~ Lunch

6th Period ~ Gym

7th Period ~ AP English

I know what you're thinking. What kind of teenagers are you? Taking all those advanced classes? Me and Tyler have always been on the smart side. Don't judge. We may look like those type of teenagers who smoke and skate but no were the smart skater twins with artistic skills and good looks. XD

We thank the lady, Ms. Holland, then head out to find our lockers and search for our first class. To say I'm nervous for this year would be an understatement.
