(10 minutes after after Skyler wakes up)

Skyler's POV

I got out of the shower and changed into a pair of sweats and a tank top then put my hair up into a messy bun. I quickly put some mascara on then made my way downstairs to see Kota and Tyler doing homework. 

I grabbed my bag by the door and sat at the kitchen table and prepared myself for the next few hours of torture: homework.

***few hours later***

Me, Kota and Tyler were working our homework when we heard the doorbell ring. I get up and walk up to the door and look through the peephole and see the rest of the squad. 

I opened the door and instantly got pulled into someone's arms. 

"Can't. Breathe." I got let go and looked up to see Jackson looking at me with concern in his eyes. 

"I'm fine guys. They just pushed me up against the lockers. No big deal." I gave them a small smile as I shut the door. 

Hailey scoffed. "No big deal? Sky, those girls won't stop leaving you alone! Do you even know why they keep bothering you?" 

I knew the first time it was about Tyler and they already knew that but this time it was about Kota. I didn't really understand why these girls thought I was a threat to them. I don't even like Kota so why would they be worried about me 'stealing' him from them. 

I just shrugged then told them "All Jennifer told me was to stay away from 'her man' but I don't even know whoever 'her man' is so I don't get why she's so worried." 

Tyler looked up from his work. "Who is this supposed guy?" I just shrugged. I knew he would know that I was lying because we always see right through each other. 

"Anyways, let's just forget about it. Hailey, Izzy, would you guys like to go for a walk or quick skate?" 

They both nodded then put their bags on the kitchen table next to mine and followed me into the garage. I grabbed 2 of my old skateboards and gave them to the girls.

"You guys know how to ride or do you want a bike?" 

I saw Hailey nod. "Yeah I can ride a skateboard. Izzy can't though." I just nodded then got my bike off of it's rack and wheeled it over to Izzy. 

I opened up the garage and we rode off around the neighborhood. At some point, we stopped to just walk while holding our boards in silence. 

We were about to get back on our boards and bike when we all heard a small yip. 

We all looked at each other before slowly walking towards the sound. I could hear the yips getting louder when I spotted a small German shepherd puppy curled up right next to the curb. 

It's small doe eyes were staring right up at me as I carefully put down my board on the grass and crouched down next to the small pup.
