Interlude - A Surprise

The Reds and Blues were all gathered on the beach of Valhalla.

South: Why did Ruby call us here?

Grif: Hell if I know, she just came to our rooms and told us to meet out here.

Simmons: It is a bit weird, usually she only does that when Grif sleeps past noon.

Kaikaina: She wakes me up to train with her. . . .

Grif: I don't feel bad at all.

Delta: Ruby's actions indicate that she has some kind of announcement to make.

Caboose: *gasps* Is she being crowned Queen?!

Sarge: She's not a princess, you moron.

Grif: Eh, I can kinda see it.

Kaikaina: She acts more like a mom than a queen.

Grif: Do not compare her to mom.

Kaikaina: I said A mom not OUR mom. Ruby's a four-hundred percent upgrade.

South: You all have serious fucking issues.

Simmons: Tell me about it.

South: You too.

Simmons: Damn it.

Sarge: Hey, what's taking her so long?

Caboose: Uh, she has to get dressed to become queen.

Kaikaina: Maybe she's baking us some cookies.

Simmons: Holy shit, having an A.I.'s is driving her insane and already drove him insane.

South: Yeah, having one suddenly seems less appealing.

Delta: I am going to pretend I did not hear that.

Ruby then came out of the base.

Grif: Finally.

Ruby: Sorry for the wait, I was just having some. . . difficulties. *sighs* Ready?

Simmons: Uh, yeah?

Ruby: Not you.

Simmons: Then who?

A tiny black soldier appeared on the magenta girl's shoulder.

Allison: Buenos Días Cockbites, guess who's back?

Grif/Sarge/Simmons: TEX?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Allison: Good to know I'm missed.

Kaikaina: Oh, you're that black chick that shot at us back at Blood Gulch. Dick move.

Allison: Good to see you too sister.

Delta: It is good to see you as well Agent Texas.

Allison: You too, D.

Caboose: Hello Tex.

Everyone looked at him.

Grif: No over the top reaction?

Simmons: No tears of joy?

Sarge: No screams of painful joy?

Caboose: Oh, I already knew Tex was back.

Allison/Ruby: WHAT?!?!?!?

Caboose: Do you guys remember when the Meta was being scary, and knocked out Sister, and Ruby fought him, and South shot him, and then Ruby's hands started turning glowy, and then she helped Sister live?

South: Yes?

Caboose: I've known since then.

Ruby: Wh-Why didn't you tell anyone? I mean, not that I'm complaining.

Caboose: Oh, I just thought it was the responsible thing to do.

Everyone: . . . . . .

Allison: Well, good work Caboose. Keep doing the responsible thing.

Caboose: Okay.

Ruby: Well, let's get this out of the way first. Do not tell ANYONE about this unless it's someone from Blood Gulch. In this case, if we ever meet Tucker or Donut again.

Sarge: Not that I don't appreciate your return per say, but why are you telling us this?

Grif: Yeah, you know we suck ass at keeping secrets.

Allison: Because she trusts you idiots, for some reason.

Ruby: Be nice.

Simmons: Yeah, but we knew she trusted us. Besides, I don't exactly blame her for keeping you a secret.

Despite being an A.I., Tex still terrified the Reds. Her glare intensified.

Simmons: Please don't possess me.

Ruby: *sighs* I showed you guys because of Church. He gave his life for us, so I didn't want to have her living the rest of her life in my head. Besides, I trust you all enough to let you know about her. . . . *smiles*

Kaikaina: Aw, we love you too Ruby.

South: So we have three Freelancer A.I.s, two Freelancers, and five idiots. What an interesting group we have here.

Ruby: Three A.I.s, one freelancer, six idiots.

South: Huh? Why?

Ruby: I'm not a Freelancer. . . I'm a Red.

Allison: You're so cheesy.

Ruby: I'm being honest here! I'd rather be a Red than a Freelancer!

Sarge: Here that? Red team is above all! Tex is on our side now too!

Caboose and Kaikaina looked at the Beta A.I.

Allison: Yeah, I'm sticking with Ruby, sorry.

Grif: Yeah! We have too kickass Freelancers!

Ruby: One!

Caboose: Well. . . this isn't good.
