"And I'll announce you as my Queen, my equal."

A few days later

Kyra stood in front of her flower-decorated mirror, wearing the elegant dress that fit her like rose petals, it's hue the many pinks of a rose garden.

The sun catching diamonds shone triangular lights around her, dancing with every movement she made.

She looked like a blossomed flower that flourished in the golden sun. Layers of lace coated the silky fabric underneath.

She glowed with vibrancy, her eyes shone brighter than emeralds and a glorious smile painted her skin, along with a thin layer of blush.

She couldn't surmise how glamorous she looked despite the mirror being concrete evidence.
She twirled around in her ballgown, mumbling a small 'wow' as she felt equivalent to a princess.

Well, a Queen.

She added her own touch to her outfit and placed a pink amulet around her neck which hung directly above her covered breasts.

The amulet was the only thing she had left of her mother, or so she thought. Buried deep within Kyra is something she's oblivious to.

Something you're oblivious to.

Her calm thoughts of wondering what Syfas would think about her in this dress suddenly were disturbed by the vibrant birds who flapped around Kyra.

She giggled upon their arrival and they took snippets of her hair with their beaks, tossing it over each other until it ended up in a loose braided bun. Fragments of her golden hair framed her virtuous face.

" I think I'm ready." she sighed and smiled at her reflection. The heavy thoughts of becoming a Queen weighed on her mind all day and night. Constantly challenging her authority to rule as Queen but, she knew that Syfas would never lie to her.

He believed in her and she believed him.

She didn't tell a soul about it, her father and Nora were soon to find out and she knew their shocked faces would be priceless.

Kyra snapped awake from her daydream, now noticing the pink-tinted gloss that coated her lips. The birds tweeted in approval and Kyra thanked them for their nice words.

She gently strode down the wooden stairs, a creak announcing her presence to her father who turned around to face her.

His eyes softened as he landed his gaze on his precious daughter, the love he had for her was beyond all things. She was the result of such a happy relationship with his mate and every look into those emerald eyes made him reminisce every moment he spent with her.

"You look breath-taking, little fairy." he smiled, he couldn't be more joyous for Kyra finding her mate. Although it was a big change in her life, he was with her all the way.

"Thank you, Father. You look handsome too." she made her way into her fathers' arms, a tear of joy escaped his eye.

"Your mother would be so proud of you," he whispered into her hair. Rubbing her back before sniffing and removing her from his arms to glance at her face.

"Thank you, and I know mother would be so proud of you too."

"Enough of the sappy stuff," he joked, "let's get to the ball." Kyra beamed at the thought of getting closer to her mate and eagerly ran out the door.
