"Within the folds of silence, beneath veils of mystery, lie the hidden secrets that beckon seekers to embark on the journey of revelation."

Kyra

It's been approximately one day since we saw the Reizuki, Bunny and I made the decision not to tell a soul because although they're extremely dangerous creatures, we assumed that because people can't enter the secret place, things can't leave either. Excluding us.

I ventured out to the Great Equestrian Library with Slate on my trail, I invited Alfred with me since he was a keen and fast reader. Syfas agreed that we needed every possible fact on what we had to deal with so, we told Alfred I was eager to learn more about the past and the founders of Kingdoms, more so than what he had already taught me.

Nestled in the heart of the bustling ancient city of Aldoria, this colossal library stands as a tribute to the pursuit of knowledge, a testament to the wisdom of civilizations past and present.

Its imposing facade, adorned with intricate carvings and statues of great scholars, beckons seekers of knowledge from all corners of  Aetheria.

Despite Syfas' desire to join us, he was bound by an unavoidable meeting with the council, which he had already postponed several times. As the Queen of the Dragon Kingdom, I was expected to be present, but I found them filled with tedious political nonsense that held no relevance to Syfas. It was not a place I desired to be, even if Syfas is giving me love eyes the whole time.

The vast atrium stretched endlessly, with marble columns reaching towards the heavens, supporting a magnificent domed ceiling that resembles a celestial map adorned with constellations and zodiac signs. Watching the stars was always my favourite thing.

"So what exactly are we looking for, Queen Kyra?" Alfred mumbled as his eyes skimmed a book he had taken off a high shelf, flipping through the pages before returning it to its rightful place.

Fortunately, the library was unusually tranquil during this particular time on a Tuesday. I couldn't fathom how we'd manage to get any research done if the place were swarming with magic folk.

"I want to learn more about the Alawaiyils, Viper Ryuu to be more specific." I sway on my feet awaiting his response, the flash of the glowing white curvaceous line swirled in my mind, spelling his name.

"You remind me of my much younger self, Kyra." He smiled and began to speed past multiple bookshelves, leaving me to follow the scent he left behind.

"I do?" I trail around the aisle I assumed he was in only to find it empty.

"Mhm." His hum came from a distance, top right. My feet rushed to catch up just as much as my brain was eager to retain as much information as possible for Syfas to take pride in me.

I turned the corner and found him with a stack of twelve books in his arms which barely reached his chest. "Here you go." He plopped the heavy books into my unsuspecting arms as if they weighed nothing. I heard his footsteps rapidly fade away and I was barely able to see his retreating form.

Slate rushed to take the books off me, offering to use himself as bait against Alfreds' shenanigans without saying a word. It's not like he used to speak much before the incident, but now his expressions are locked in place without a hint of a smile.

"That's not a way to live." I proclaim, his eyes drawn to mine, waiting for me to continue. "Without smiling I mean, you were created to smile." His eyes softened ever so slightly before he averted his gaze to the straight book path ahead of him.
