she said holding her mother's hand, afraid of the thunder.

she yelled as her friends rode away on their bikes.

she begged, afraid of losing all she had left.
then eventually, she had to learn how to fight alone, because they all had left her anyways.
"stay with me."
she whispered to the girl she didn't recognize.
but why didn't she respond?
it was her reflection.
