Chapter 10: The bar

I landed safely on planet Xuvillon. This planet is really famous for alcohol. They have every kinds of booze in here. There's a place here that I always go to whenever I feel angry or something that pissed me off.

It's a little place but there's a hidden bar underground that only a few people know. I opened the door and the little bell rang when I entered.

"I see you have come again. Something must be on your mind again." Just as soon as I entered, I couldn't help but smiled.

"Ah, Jax the bartender." I greeted him and he chuckled. He went out the back and I followed him. We got into the back of the bar and he opened that same wall where the hidden bar is.

"Laron! You'll be handling the surface for now." He called out his assistant, the assistant knew what he meant and only nodded as a response. Jax and I both went inside the wall that leads a stair underground.

He closed the wall behind us and he enchanted something before we both went down, like he always does.

As soon as we got underground, familiar faces were there already. Their faces lifted up when they saw me. There were about twenty people here and most of them stood up to greet me. I've been going here for about, well, when I started my training about driving a ship.

"Akki!" Most of them shouted my name and I only laughed. I shook hands with some of them and greeted some back.

"I haven't seen you in days, where were you?" A familiar voice asked behind me, I turned around to see one of my close friends, Sorlin.

"I've been busy." I answered him. Sorlin is kind of a human but mixed with another race. Sorlin, Jax, Gamora, Nebula, and Sorlin's twin sister whose name is Silvana. They are the people who I rant the most.

"Where's Sil?" I asked him and he just shrugged. That means she's been hunting again, it's a habit of hers. She won't come home for weeks whenever she has a task.

"Jax, the usual." I shouted far across the room. I walked towards the bar and sat one of the stool, Sorlin sat beside me. Jax prepared the drink and gave it to me. I took a sip of it first.

"Scotch on the rocks with a twist? Is that your order again? Isn't that stuff strong?" Sorlin commented on my drink. He tried one of this and didn't realize the drink was strong. I've gotten used to it.

"It's a got lemon, it's fine." I said and drank some of it. Jax then handed Sorlin his drink.

"I heard you have a problem with your girl." I started to talk. He looked far away and played with his drink.

"She's not my girl. I mean, I wish she is but you know... she's been kind of distant lately." He said and shot his drink in one gulp.

"If I may interrupt, this girl you two are talking about is the same girl? Was her name Deulyn?" Jax asked and I nodded at his question.

"You must have done something. Even if you don't know what you did, you did something you probably didn't know." I said and Sorlin looked at me with a confused look.

"Oh so like the guy you're in love with?" Sorlin said but more like a tease. I rolled my eyes at him.

"You've been telling us about him for most of the time we've been together, Akki. Who is he? I wanna meet him. Even Jax is curious about him!" Sorlin almost shouted. I shushed him and I didn't speak for a while. Jax and Sorlin looked at each other, they don't know what to do but stay silent.

"He's..." I started to open up. They moved closer to me to pay attention but it's a little too much.

"He's big. He has a really big, muscle-y body, and he's maybe about eight foot tall. He has the silver color on his eyes and um, he has two daughters but he adopted them and fed them well." I said things about Thanos. I don't think they'll know with just that information.

"Akki, the descriptions you gave us are literally about most guys in the whole universe. What is he? A human or what? And seven foot tall? He's huge!" Sorlin exclaimed. I sighed and looked back at my drink.

"He's not a human. He has a different species. He's a king, I think?" I whispered the last part but they still heard it. I look to see their reaction, both Jax and Sorlin's eyes were wide and their mouth was open. I could tell they are shocked about that sudden information.

"He's a-" I cut Sorlin off by putting my hand in his mouth to stop him from almost shouting the information.

I shushed him. I then removed my hand from hid mouth.

"You can't just shout out to the whole galaxy that I'm in love with a king!" I whispered angrily at him. I turned back to my drink and gulped it in one go. I gave it to Jax who grabbed it without knowing and poured me another drink.

"He's a king? A king? Wait where's his planet? Which planet? Akki, this is so shocking! You never told us!" Sorlin whispered but I think it wasn't really a whisper.

I sighed again and drank the whole cup which Jax prepared me again. Jax already got another one prepared and handed me a new glass which I just drank in one go. He prepared me another glass.

"Akki! Why won't you say anything?" Sorlin asked again. I didn't answered his questions and just kept on drinking.

"Fuck this, Jax bring me the three bottles." I ordered him and he gave them to me. I started by drinking the first bottle and after a few seconds, it was empty. I turned to the second bottle, opened it, and started drinking it like the first bottle. When I finished the second bottle, I grabbed the third one and started drinking it without stopping.

After I drank the third bottle, Jax and Sorlin was only looking at me the whole time I was drinking the three bottles.

"I know you don't get drunk that easily but don't go too hard on yourself, Akki." Jax said to me. I only nodded at him.

"If I tell him who he is, both of you will just...get shocked. You guys aren't ready to know who he is." I said. They both gazed at each other, dumbfounded about what I said. They didn't speak another word because they know I won't answer any more questions about him.

"Give me another three bottles, Jax." I said and he hesitated first but still gave the three bottles to me.
