Clay's POV

It was the evening before we would leave for the holiday. We had to go to the airport at midnight and George and I went to bed at eight pm. Unfortunately George couldn't sleep at all and he had been crying for an hour now. I had just held him in my arms, kissing his cheek every now and then.

'Georgie, it's okay,' I whispered, rubbing through his hair.

'Bed, room, house,' he cried.

'You're going to be home soon after the holiday.'

'England.'

'You're going to see America with me. I can show you some beautiful places and we can make some more pictures together for your photo frame.'

'Plane is scary.' He was having hiccups because he cried so hard.

'I'm going to be with you in the plane, baby.'

'You find plane scary?'

'Only a little.'

'Clay, I'm really sad.'

'I can see that, baby. Come, let me try and calm you down. Maybe you'll fall asleep.'

I pulled off George's shirt and laid him down on his side, cuddled against my body. I started softly stroking his back and his chest and George started breathing a little slower, still having hiccups. It was really cute.

I softly stroke his back and chest and George's eyes started closing. He started dozing off slowly and I shook himself awake every time.

'Sleep, baby. I'll wake you up when we need to.'

George nodded slowly and fell asleep in my arms. I kept rubbing his back and chest slowly and I wiped his tears away. He started breathing a slower and grabbed his stuffed animals tightly. It took me twenty minutes to fall asleep too.

At midnight I woke up by the alarm I had set and George startled really badly. He sat up and looked at me in shock. I rubbed through his hair. 'It's just the alarm that we have to wake up, baby.'

George nodded and laid back down with a sad face. 'My bed.'

'Baby, we are going to be together the whole day. I'm going to read you your books and make some puzzles with you.'

George nodded and sat up.

'Look, Georgie. I laid down the clothes you have to wear today.'

George stood up but he was really tired and sat back down. I smiled at him. 'Do you need help?'

George nodded slowly and I pulled on his shirt. I helped him change into everything I had laid down. George was so tired that he almost fell asleep on my shoulder. 'Baby, stay awake.'

'I stay here?'

'We are all leaving, sweetie.'

George nodded and stood up again. I helped him walk downstairs and gave him something quick to eat. He was cuddling with his stuffed animals and kept dozing off.

'You can sleep in the plane, baby.'

George nodded slowly and I lifted him up. 'Come, put on your shoes, baby.'

'Can you learn this holiday how I have to tie my shoelaces?' George asked shyly. He looked embarrassed. 'I find it hard.'

'I will learn you that, Georgie. Don't be ashamed, it is hard for the first times.'

'I always put my shoelaces in my shoe,' George said, stuffing them on the side in his shoe.

'I'll tie them,' I smiled.

'I'm tired and I feel really stupid because I can't even tie my shoes. I think that doesn't even have anything to do with autism.'

'It's fine, baby. I'll teach you how to do it.'

George nodded and I lifted him up. We walked to the living room and George's parents were packing. My dad was still at home and he would drive to the airport alone probably. He would directly take all my bags with him and we would meet in the airport to go with us all.

I was really excited, I couldn't wait to be in America again. To walk around in my old place, I couldn't wait for it.

Everything was packed half an hour later and we were ready to go. George and I sat down in the back of the car, it was an forty minute ride and George fell asleep immediately. I was just talking a little with his parents.

'Are you excited, Clay?' George's dad asked.

'I'm really excited,' I giggled. I had my arm around George who was sleeping on my shoulder and I kissed his cheek. 'Georgie cried a lot yesterday, I hope he's okay.'

'He has always done that, he's going to be alright. I'm surprise he fell asleep with you, because I sat hours next to his bed and he didn't sleep.'

'Aww, I just talked softly and rubbed his back.'

'You always make him really calm.'

'I don't even have to do that much. I just love him a lot. He feels a lot more comfortable with me the last month.'

'Really?'

'He dares kissing my cheek and such now, he never did that before. He also dares asking me anything.'

'He talks with us about it sometimes. He has done that less that last time, I think because he's indeed more comfortable. By the way, we don't do anything with the information he tells us, don't worry about that. We don't mind what you do together and half of the time we can't even understand what he's saying, because he only speaks with words.'

'Aww, I'm fine with it. He calms down by telling it, it doesn't bother me. It would bother me if you would also tell it to people, but I know you don't.'

'No, of course not.'

'For some reason I can fully understand what he's saying, even if he's only speaking with one word. I just always understand him.'

'That's really sweet, it's good that he has someone who fully understands him without having to explain anything.'

'It is,' I said, kissing his hair. 'I love him a lot.'

'I still feel a little bit guilty for yelling at George and being bluntly at you when George came out and you became his boyfriend. I couldn't have wished for someone better than you for George,' his dad said.

I smiled shyly. 'Thank you a lot.'
