Yesterday seemed to have turned for the worst with the other Rulers discontent voiced out aloud but at the very end—at least the King of Hearts had managed to salvage the situation. Blyke Edelweiss not for love or money could ever come to appointments on time, but in the nick of time he was nearly close to the Royal Banquet Hall.

Compared to other of the aristocracy, Alexander Hartsmichdt had made the first breakfast since the Gathering of Suits arrival open for all of the Rulers and their servants; as the Prime Minister, he was very much one of the most important people above for the Rulers themselves.

"Running a bit late aren't we?" A laugh sounded from right beside him, and he nearly hopped out of the way until he saw who had greeted him. The young man tipped their hat to him, a grin on their face.

Blyke Edelweiss blinked and bowed deeply, "Sir Dimitri Nordskov, my greetings to you!" This man was... the Clover Kingdom had always been odd—this man was the first in line to the throne but had given it to his little brother for some reason.

A gentle smile formed on the man's features as they placed their hat back on, "I didn't mean to surprise you, Prime Minister. Shall the two of us head to the banquet hall? It might be more inconspicuous this way."

It was the exact opposite of that.

And yet Blyke Edelweiss mustered a smile and nodded, "Of course, Sir Nordskov, after you." Should he call the man by another title? He didn't know if he should be referred as 'First Prince' when his brother was the King. How other Kingdoms governed themselves were quite different from one another despite all of them having a 'King' and 'Queen' and the other noble titles—keeping up with all them made him a little hare brained more often than not.

The two of them strolled along the corridor, the hall was nearby and he was glad that besides the greetings there were no other niceties to be had. It was early in the morning and he needed his cup of tea before he could actually start functioning more properly.

"Prime Minister Edelweiss, I couldn't help but recall that during the banquet last night, Her Majesty of Hearts was unable to join us." Attendant Dimitri Nordskov remarked out of the blue and halted in his steps. "Had something happened?"

Blyke Edelweiss had to stop his steps along with the man, it would be outrageous if he entered before Royal blood, and he fell silent. He tried to think about it for a moment, he knew that questions would arise—but he had hoped that he wouldn't be the one answering them and the King would be the one dealing with such subtle interrogation. Until he remembered a certain event, "Ah, Her Majesty had fallen ill, during the visitation at the Gazebo of Dreams, an unfortunate accident occurred and the Queen of Hearts had fallen into the lake."

"Is that so? That's a pity; I suppose we won't be seeing her today then..." A disappointed sigh escaped the man's lips.

The Prime Minister took the opportunity to ask a question, "Though is there some particular reason why the King of Clover's Attendant Nordskov is curious of Her Majesty of Heart's whereabouts?" He emphasized somewhat on the role and less on the name, he could still at least get an answer if he acted within the gallantries.

A small chuckle escaped the man's lips, they removed their hat and tucked it underneath an arm as one of the servants opened the door of them, "Someone expressed their thoughts, when I had visited your town, that the ladies in your Kingdom are the best in standings of beauty and Her Majesty as one of the fairest of them all."

"I-Is that so?" Blyke Edelweiss spluttered and fought back himself from hacking and thumping his chest. Memories of an outraged Queen who didn't blink an eye at ordering a bloodbath came to mind—the Attendant's words immediately contrasted with that vivid imagery. "Well, Her Majesty is indeed..." He gulped for a moment, "Beautiful." Bloodthirsty. "But beauty is surely fleeting when compared to His Majesty of Clover's Queen, she had completed the Card Trial alongside His Majesty of Hearts and he speaks highly of her."

Attendant Dimitri Nordskov raised a brow, "Ah, the King of Hearts thinks highly of our Queen?"

This would have been the appropriate moment for him to cut his tongue off; the Prime Minister managed a stiff bow, "On rare occasions when we've pestered him regarding the Card Trial—ah, but let's think not of past glories and instead dwell on present matters, do you not agree?" He laughed and motioned to the long dining table before them, "I hope that Attendant Dimitri will enjoy the breakfast as much as he did with dinner. Please excuse me, I think His Majesty of Hearts is calling for me."

Before the Attendant could utter a word in reply, Blyke Edelweiss took the opportunity to slip away from them and make his way to the King of Hearts and the other Rulers who were already in the midst of dining for their breakfast.

In comparison to the other Kings who had their Queens seated alongside them, only His Majesty of Hearts had an empty seat on his right—but despite that, only a smile was present on their face along with the mirth in their eyes.

A pleasant and jovial conversation they were having.

"My greetings to the Rulers of the Suits," Blyke Edelweiss bowed respectfully and held it for a good amount of time before making his way to the left side of the King of Hearts. His position as the Prime Minister was no small role after all. Once he had taken a seat, the conversation resumed on a pleasant note.

"I see that you've met my brother, Prime Minister." The King of Clovers greeted him with a smile and nod as they dined on their breakfast.

He nodded his head and tried to smile, "Yes, I've acquainted myself, Your Majesty." What else could he say? Despite being a servant of one of the Kings present, he still couldn't help but feel a little unnerved—temperament and all that. Compared to the other Kings and Queens of the Kingdoms in the land, Alexander Hartsmichdt was by far the saint.
