"He wouldn't know." Y/n piped.

Five gave her a confused look, "They work for my former employer, a woman called the Handler. She sent them to stop me, and as soon as Diego's friend got in their way.. Well, fair game."

Y/n froze and her eyes widened, "Former employer?" Her voice was breaking, "Former.. former employer.."

If he was there, he surely would have saw her. Atleast once. But she never saw anyone familiar except for the old man before she left. She moved away from Five, and to the end of the bed. He didnt help her, he didnt save her, he didnt even talk to her, and she went through all that hell just to figure out he was there. Five used to work for that shithole.

"I dont know what y/n has to do with any of it, but the Handler wants her too." Five said, turning his head to look at her, only to see she was at the end of the bed.

"You know what happend." Y/n snapped, looking at Five, "You were there."

Five furrowed his brows and sat up,
"Y/n, what are you taking abou—"

"All those years." She pushed through gritted teeth, "And you were there."

"Y/n, what are you talking about?" Five asked, moving closer to her but she stood up.

"Dont act like you dont know." She sneered, "Y-You left me there to die!"

"Y/n, what happened?" Luther asked cautiously.

Tears welled in her eyes and she let out a frustrated sigh, she didnt know what to do.

"That does it." Deigo exclaimed, "They're my fair game now."

"That would be a mistake, they've killed far more dangerous people then you." Y/n advised, glaring at Five, "He knows that."

"We'll see about that." Deigo seethed, storming out the door and shutting it on his way out.

Y/n went to follow him but Five teleported infront of her, "You're not going anywhere."

"You can't tell me what to do." She sneered, pushing passed him.

He grabbed her sleeve and she froze, "Five, let go of me now."

"Not until you explain what happened." He hissed, earning a scoff.

"She put you up to this," Number Eight chuckled darkly, "Because she told you if I tell anyone, she'll kill them right infront of me!"

Y/n roughly pulled away from Five and collapsed onto a chair, "I spent all those years, dying to get out of there. Now, I'm not sure if this is any better."

"So, uh, can someone tell me what-"

"I was kidnapped." Y/n cut Luther off, "And tortured for years, at the same place Five worked for."

"Why?" Number One asked, pulling up a chair beside the girl.

"They tested things on me. I was their lab rat." Y/n replied sadly.

"And Five this was your former employer?" Luther asked.

"Mhm." He responded, still looking at the girl.

"What is this really about? And don't give me any of the 'this is none of your business' crap." Luther told him.

"Well it's a long story." Five answered.

"Y/n? What about you?" Luther asked.

"I'd like to hear his first."

Five let out an exasperated sigh, "Fine."

Y/n seemed to perk up and give a challenging look to the boy, he just brushed it off and started his story.

"They turned me into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum, or corrections as I called them. I wasn't the only one, there were others like me . . . Beings out of time, fractured, extracted from lives of pain. I dont know how they got there, but I do know that none of them were as good as me." He stated, looking down.

"But they didn't realise I was biting my time, trying to figure out the right equation to leave. If I could just get back I knew I could stop the apocalypse . . Save the world . . . So I broke my contract."

Luther brought y/n and Five each a coffee which they took. Y/n knew she wasn't going to drink it though, her stomach ached bad enough.

"So, Five, you were a hitman?" Luther interrupted.

"Murderers." Y/n corrected in a mumble.

"You had a code, right? You didn't just kill anyone." Luther asked, sitting down.

"No code. We just took out anyone that messed with the timeline." Five answered in shame.

"What about innocent people?" Luther asked in shock.

"They don't care." Y/n chuckled, "As long at it isn't them it doesn't matter, right?" She asked mockingly.

"It was the only way I could get back." Five reasoned with a sneer.

"But that's murder!" Luther stated.

"Jesus, Luther grow up." Five snapped, "We're not kids anymore. There is no such thing as good or bad guys, just people going about their daily lives. When the world ends, those people die along with all of our family."

"Time changes everything." y/n added, looking up at Luther.

"What do you have to do with any of this." He asked her, pointing at Five.

Y/n shrugged, "I mean, I'm nothing more than an experiment."

Five finished his coffee and put his mug to the side. Y/n was still holding hers and it was full. She handed it to Five with a scowl on her face, he took it gladly and started sipping it.

"Well, we heard Five's story. Now it's your turn." Luther insisted.

"Like I said, I dont know if I can tell you." Y/n stated, standing up.

"Five told us, why cant you?" Luther asked.

Y/n scoffed and started to pace the room.

"Five had alot of . . . advantages." She said.

"Like what?" Luther asked.

"Hmm let's see.." she trailed off.

"Did you go through excruciating tests everyday?" She asked Five, still not looking at him.

"No."

"Were you locked in a room 24/7 with no escape?"

"No."

"Did you wake up in a hospital bed almost everyday after practically flat lining?"

"No."

"So," She threw her hands up,  "I had a much different experience at that hellhole." She told Luther.

"And I didnt even know Five was there." Y/n scowled at the boy, "Maybe his ego was bigger than his heart when he chose not to save the poor experiment." She gestured to herself, "It would make him look like a fool to save little experiment X from her hell of a life."

"Dont you dare say that-" Five threatened and stood up, but Luther stood up as well.

"I spent everyday curled up in a corner, waiting for whatever serum they would inject me with next." She went on, debating on how much to say.

"Y/n, that's terrible. Why did they do that to you?" Luther asked, sitting back down after he watched Five take his own seat.
