Eventually the three were in the car, Five had explained the fake briefcase, and now they were listening to their radio.
Soon the car stopped on the side of a deserted road.
"You know, I never enjoyed it." Five admitted, looking out the window.
Y/n gave him a confused look.
"What?" Luther asked, putting the car in park.
"The killing . . . I was good at my work . . I took pride in it. But it never gave me pleasure. . . I think it was all those years alone, it can do funny things to the mind." He told them, still not taking his eyes off the window.
"Yeah, well, you were gone for a long time, I spent four years on the moon, and that was more then enough. It's the being alone the breaks you." Luther agreed.
"You went to the moon?" Y/n asked in disbelief.
Luther nodded.
"Wow, but if you are waiting for me to agree, then, yes. It is the being alone that breaks you. It gets you trapped in your thoughts, and that's one thing even I cant escape."
Five took his eyes off the window and looked at her.
"I have to I something." Five told her, "And you're not gonna like it."
She gave a puzzled look, "Alright.."
Five nodded and turned back around.
"You think they will buy it?" Luther asked Number Five.
"Well, what I do know is that they are desperate. It's like a cop losing their gun, if the commission finds out they'll be in deep shit, not to mention they will be stuck here until they can find a way back." Five informed.
"I really dont like this." Number Eight confessed, bouncing her leg up and down.
"I know," The Boy sighed, "I shouldn't have made you come."
She scoffed, "You didn't make me come. I came on my own free will."
Luther intervened, "Enough bickering,"
"Whatever, king kong." Y/n mumbled under her breath.
Only Five heard this and he did his best to hold back a chuckle.
"I should hold onto the briefcase." Luther insisted.
"Hm?" Five hummed, turning his gaze to Luther.
"In case they make a move on you guys." Number One shrugged.
"Okay Luther but, be careful. I-I've lived a long life . . Your still a young man and you've got your whole life ahead of you." Five advised.
"Ah, finally some old man wisdom from an old man." Y/n teased, not taking her eyes off the window.
Five chuckled, but soon stopped when he saw a car coming down the road.
"Here we go.." he grumbled, opening his door.
Y/n was the last one out of the car, she opened her door and nervously stepped out.
"If this all goes sideways, tell Eight I'm sorry and that I think shes a dork." Five whispered to Luther.
Number One nodded.
The girl walked passed Luther and went beside Five, "Just know, if they try anything funny, I'm shattering their skulls." She growled.
"Alright." Five chuckled, "You have my full permission."
She nodded, "I was gonna do it even if I didn't."
The Boy scoffed and spun her around, pushing her forward towards Luther.
"But, You're waiting over there."
She spun back around, "No way in hell."
Five gave her a salute and teleported away from her. She groaned and made her way back over to Luther, "There he goes, leaving me for dead again."
Number One laughed, "I dont think he'd do that."
She shrugged, "He just did."
Hazel and Cha Cha took off their masks and Five just stood with his hands in his pockets.
"Where is it, kid?" Cha Cha snarled.
"Oh so we're gonna start like that, huh? Well, we could all just get back in the car and drive away..." Five trailed off, pretending to walk away.
Cha Cha whipped out her pistol and pointed it at his head, "You won't even make it half way there," she threatened, cocking the gun.
Y/n stepped forward but Luther put an arm in front of her. She figured it was useless to fight against him so she stopped and leaned back, eyeing Cha Cha like a hawk.
Five still stood firm with his hands in his pockets. Y/n thought he looked pretty calm for having a gun loaded and ready to shoot him.
"Doubt it. My brother isnt your average giant, and y/n does have a history of crushing bones." Five implied, pointing over his shoulder to the two.
"He's right," Hazel agreed, "He had a chandelier dropped on him," he pointed to Luther, "And X probably won't have a problem repeating her great escape."
"So, if you try anything, Luther will smash your briefcase to a pulp, and Y/n will do the same to you." Five shrugged.
Y/n saw the two people look over at her. She smiled sarcastically and waved.
They looked away and back to Five, "So, how can we help each other?" Hazel asked quickly.
"Now we're getting somewhere. . . I want you to contact your boss so we can have a little chat." The Boy inquired.
Y/n's eyes widened, she was starting to wish she didnt come. If the Handler saw her, she would surely bring her back there and make her pay for what she did. She bolted forward and grabbed Five's arm.
"About what?" Cha Cha asked, ignoring the fact that y/n was tugging on Five and was on the verge of tears.
"I believe that is none of your concern." Five deadpanned, slinging an arm around Number Eight's shoulders. He never took his eyes off of Cha Cha, she seemed to be contemplating on what to do.
"Just don't tell her about the briefcase." Cha cha sighed.
"Fair enough." Five agreed.
The woman then started walking to the phone.
Y/n pulled away from Five, "You didn't tell me about that part." She breathed, tears now coming down her face.
"Cause I knew this would happen." He motioned to her tears, "And I don't like seeing you cry."
"I'm about to die and now you choose to be a gentleman?" She wiped her tears as they started walking back towards Luther.
"Eight," he sighed, "I think you should stay here."
She shook her head, "I know my way around there better than anyone."
He gave her a look.
"Yeah, trust me." She added, "I know everything that goes on over there. Well, almost everything. I had a lot of time to think when I was locked up, okay? The map I stole was a source of entertainment for three weeks."
"So, what now?" Luther asked, as the pair stopped in front of him.
"We wait."
