❔C h a p t e r 2 1 : W h y❔

I was walking home from my tutor, they had an extra hour last minute and i was walking home late

"excuse are you Aang?" someone spoke

I turn my head to see a man i didn't know

"yeah what about it?" i ask calmly 

"well this news are about your parents..." the man explained

My heart shattered and all i could think of what happened

"w-what happened?" i ask with a quiet voice 

"they got in a car crash, sorry they just died..." the man said as i stood on the road to my house

"w-what?" i ask confused

"your parents...they died, i'm sorry for your lost..." the man repeated, not one guilt he had

I broke down, for the first time i actually cried a storm

I stromed away, noting wanting to listen any further

why? why? WHY?

did they have to be reckless in that car crash?

why this? first, my friend was hurt and watching him lose his smile scarred me but this?
why must the world be so harsh...

i can't take it anymore!

My phone was at home and the only way i could think of to end this suffering was going above...

after what my childhood had been through, losing it broke me too hard to move on

I take a step on the stairs, and walk up without second thoughts,

after a blink of an eye, i reached the top, only to see a vivid figure of my friend...

My eye widened as i make out who the figure was and i sprint

"NO DON'T DO IT PLEASE!" I yelp as i try to run but trip

Haru jumped and as i got up quickly, i tried to get his leg but it slipped and i watched in horror as he fell to the ground 

"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" i scream loudly as he fell down

My tears got heavier and heavier and i ran downstairs but by the time i reached the ground floor

he was announced dead...

After Aang explained what really happened that day, Zuko felt guilt on his shoulders after blaming him

"Aang...why didn't you tell me? now i fell like a big jerk" Zuko asked softly

"i mean it's my fault..." Aang added

Zuko shook his head

"don't think that, you had just heard your parents died, i can't imagine what went through your mind...and how you coped with that..." Zuko explained

Aang looked at Zuko slowly

"does that means we are friends...again?" Aang said quietly

Zuko smiled and chuckled at the same time
