" me too..." Katara sighed, she could deny it no longer, it killed her internally and she needed to release it, she still loved Aang
Aang was taken back a bit, unsure if he was dreaming or not, it sounded too good to be true
" w-wait wha-"
" I still like you Aang! no better yet, I still love you!" Katara said, her tone becoming a little louder to Aang's ears so he got the message better
Aang couldn't help but smile widely at her confession
Katara stared at the ground, awaiting a response from the airhead, that until she felt a pair of arms wrap around her waist slowly
She then felt Aang's head on her shoulder
"thank god, I've been waiting for you to say that forever" Aang chimed happily as ever
Katara hesitated but wrapped her arms around Aang slowly
"I'm so sorry for what I did to you, it was a bad idea to break up with you..." Aang apologised
Katara closed her eyes in relief
"it's okay, I forgive you" Katara said as she squeezed Aang tightly, savouring the moment
The two parted and stared deeply into one's eyes
While being carelessly in one's arms
Aang smiled and she did too, they both leaned in, noses touching...
They touched lips and kissed each other, Aang deepening the kiss he carved for, Katara too, doing the same
They shared a kiss under the moonlight that tickled their skin, making the twp sparkle with shades of blue and white
The moment was beautiful...it was silent and no one around dare to interrupt.
. . .
The following day Katara screamed in her pillow that night, rethinking those moments
Even Sokka realised the sudden change in his sister the morning after
"so happy today huh? where were you yestaurday?" Sokka investigated making Katara's heart stop for a brief moment
"um, at a friend's place" Katara gulped as she tried to continue to eat
"who Toph, Suki?-"
" um someone else? i made a new friend while I had class the other day " Katara made a perfectly reasonable lie that Sokka shouldn't question
"ok ok" Sokka said, still secretly not convinced, he knew something was up and he needed to know why
Katara then got a notification from her phone and happily opened it while Sokka observed quietly
The message was from Aang, saying he wanted to hang out again which to Katara agreed of course
"who are you texting?" Sokka said after a brief moment of silence
"seriously? none of your business" Katara rolled her eyes and faced a different direction to cover her phone
Sokka frowned, he was determined to get to the bottom of his sister schemes
. . .
After Katara got ready she smiled to herself, excited for the night and got her mini bag
She jogged downstairs quietly and got out the door, unaware of the lurking person in the shadows
After the door was shut, a figure got up
Sokka got up from his hiding spot and tried to cartwheel to the window, ninja style and after a painful fall he saw the car and quickly waited for it to go, so he can get in his car and speed after it, even if he got a speeding ticket, to him it was for a good cause
. . .
Meanwhile, Katara and Aang arrived at the crowded place, walking to the food stalls and cutely feeding each other the meat stick while Sokka hopelessly tried to keep up with the two and yet he couldn't figure the person next to Katara as he couldn't get a clear shot of his face, he was convinced he lost them in the crowd
"so where are we going to visit next?" Katara questioned Aang
Aang thought for a moment, thinking of what to say
"there was a plushie store nearby, I visited it before, we should look there" Aang said, accompanied with a smile on his face
Katara nodded, to her it was a good plan
. . .
After some time the two reunited love birds reached the shop
Katara spotted a narwhale plushie and adored it
"look, doesn't it look cute?" Katara stared in awe
Aang chuckled and admired her expression and looked back at the plushie
"if that's what you want sure thing" Aang smiled
"you don't have to-"
"my treat" Aang chuckled
He grabbed the plushie and Katara, thankful, gave him a kiss on the cheek
"A million thanks Aang" Katara whispered in Aang's ears
Aang immediately felt his cheeks flush red while he stumbled to the cashier to pay
After buying it Aang gave a peek in the bag to Katara and she admired it while they walked hand in hand around the beach shore which was their next stop
" do you like it?' Aang asked the obvious question
Katara smiled and looked at the glistening beach, it had just reached sunset, where the beach was at it's most beautiful
"we should take a picture here!" Katara said as she got her phone out
Aang nodded in reply and the two took a picture next to the swaying beach
"wow you look so nice in the picture" Katara giggled
"not as beautiful as you" Aang cheesed out
Katara cringed and teased Aang
"very cheesy" she said with her tongue out
Aang smiled and wrapped his arms around Katara unexpectedly
Katara was shocked but slowly hugged back
"I really missed you" Aang said softly
Katara smiled at such heartfelt words, " me too Aang, me too"
The two parted and enjoyed one's presence and their faces leaned in forward for a tendering kiss
That was until someone ran in between the two and ended up tackling them to the floor
As the three fell down they looked at the panting person that was revealed to be the one and only...Sokka
"AANG WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY SISTER!?!" Sokka yelled obviously
Aang side-eyed with Katara which to Katara, she got the message, they both gulped...
