Part 6

I was still in the back room, sitting in a chair, looking at the ceiling, my mind empty.
Suddenly the doors opened and Matteo walked in, anger all over his face.
What's his deal? Asshole.

'I said I wanted you by my side tonight' he says gripping my wrist, forcefully pulling me towards him.
Owww. That actually hurt. I swear to God if he doesn't stop, shit will happen. I'll end him.

'Of course, God' i say mockingly, rolling my eyes
'I'm loosing all my patience with you, bambi' he says his grip on my wrist getting even stronger.

'Don't let the guest wait' I whisper to him, then leading him to the crowd of people.

'I'm sorr-' before he could finish his sentence, i spoke
' What's my next mission?' I ask, coldly looking him in his eyes.

'next mission? You're not in the game anymore' he chuckled
'Yes, I am' i say immediately
'Bambi, for fucks sake, before I do something stupid  in front of everyone, behave.' he growled

I only nodded, not looking him into his eyes.
I felt like throwing up. I felt like sleeping all day. I felt like dying.

'Hey there guys'  Jennifer smirks at me, noticing we're fighting.
Honestly, I'm seconds away from smacking her across her face.

'Wow, your dress is really not appropriate for tonight' She says making discussed face at me.

'Jennifer, you are a guest here and guests only. Know your place and watch how you talk to her' Matteo says, stepping slightly in front of me. Guarding me.
She was shocked and so was I. He's so bipolar.

'I've had my time with you. Talk to me again or even look at me the wrong way and I'll slit your throat. With my nails. I don't play stupid games' I tell her and she gulped.
I can be scary. And i did that once. I mean I didn't slit guy's troath but i stabbed him in the neck with my nails.

'Matteo, are you really going to let her threaten me? You're supposed to keep me safe' Her voice genuinely cracked and a tear slipped down her face.

I believe her. She's in love with him. Who wouldn't be? Honestly.

Matteo kept silent, affirming that he will let me do whatever I want.

See this man? So toxic.
He can't show care other ways than this.

'I'm calling my daddy' She says leaving us alone again. Finally.

I look him in the eyes trying to understand him. Trying to understand his feelings and why is he behaving like this.

'I'm scared' He admits.
'What?' I ask puzzled
'I'm scared you'll leave me. Now that Rico is dead I'm no use to you. I'm scared your mother and sister will steal you away from me or you'll simply just disappear' He admits, he puts his forehead on mine,his hold on my waist tightening.
Wow.

'Teo' I whisper and he closes his eyes
'I'm never going to leave you. You are my home, my family.. My all. Why would you even think about that. I won't ever betray you' I say and I noticed his body get rid of tension.

I could live in this moment forever.
'I know you wouldn't. Still, I'm afraid of losing you'  and I'm scared I'll lose you.
'That's why you were rough with me?' I ask
'I'm sorry about that. I was mad you met with your sister. I thought that was it.'
'You idiot. You have no idea how awful you made me feel. '
'I'm sorry. Fucks sake I'm a real idiot'
'Yeah, you are'
We both smile and then a bright light shone on us. Oh, the cameraman.

I immediately blush and Matteo chuckles.

The rest of the party, he didn't let go of my hand. I hope he never does.
And towards the night i realized something.
I was in love with Matteo. I loved him.
More than myself. I was nothing without him.

I would die for Matteo. In a second, in a heartbeat, without any hesitation.
