Although this is a cover of the last verse of The Four Season's "An Angel Cried," these lyrics are connected and dedicated to her late father who had passed away. The lyric "The day you left me, an angel cried" with her being the angel, she's talking about her father and how heart broken she was when he left. Around this time Ella wasn't in the right state of mind and her mental health wasn't at its best. She was constantly stressed and when alone did nothing but cry and of course hid these feelings from the public, but fans still noticed how much she's "changed" and it started an argument within the fandom, one side saying she's not herself anymore and the other stating she's just maturing. It took awhile but Ella was able to get back to her old self slowly but surely.
