Aaaannnddd I'm back! Hopefully regular updates from now on.

A little poem of Cordelia and James from the Last Hours Series. Cordelia's perspective.

__

Words that I wish to say but can't,

Touches I wish to feel but which are forbidden,

Smiles that I wish for me which clearly aren't.

And a desire that no words can speak of,

A longing no story can describe,

And an ache no one will like.

A turbulence of love and pain.

Everytime you see me,

I see you back in a different way,

If only I could voice it out,

But oh that would shatter our friendship.

I love you as I wish you would love me,

I look at you as I want a single glance from you.

But I know it is not possible.

For every look you give me,

I only see kind eyes and none that are with love,

None with the desire and longing I have.

But through it all I tell myself:

You are happy with her and that's what matters.

If you never love me that's okay,

But even if it's not true, just once,

Just once kiss me like I'm the only one,

Gather me against you as if I were all you saw,

Touch me with feather light touches that speak more than a hundred words.

But even as these thoughts consume me,

I cannot help but feel my love not returned,

I can only feel myself crumble quicker than you'd know.

And I want myself bound to you,

But I know I can't ask that of you,

So I won't.

Because I love you enough, my love,

To let you go and love the one you want.

But if you ever find your love unrequited,

Know that I yearn for you everyday;

As a kid might yearn for candy.

And that if you come to me,

I'll love you above the Angels and Heavens.
