Chapter 9:~The assassination attempt on Alvina

~Some days later~

Alvina brushed her long blonde golden hair when Richard came storming into their room.
"Alvina, what's this!?,"Richard asked as he showed her the invitation.
Alvina looked at him confused,
"A invitation to my father's party for celebrating my homecoming,"
"Yeah, I know what it is Alvina,"Richard explained angrily,
"But why is it on your nightstand? You're not considering going, are you?,"
Alvina looked at him shocked,
"Of I consider it. I want to go,"
Richard shook his head,
"You're not going. I won't let you. Not this shortly after your memory returned! I won't let you!,"
And he stormed out of the room and slammed the door behind him.

~Later that night~

Richard and Alvina arrived to Alicante.
Alvina was wearing a light blue purple dress.

And silvery tiara and earrings.

And they went into the Alicante institute.
"I can't believe you persuaded me to this,"Richard said.
Alvina turned to him,
"Oh, come on, Richard. Let's have some fun. Harmony is with my ladies. Nothing can go wrong,"
"Alvina! I didn't expect you to come. But I'm glad you did,"Magnus interrupted.
Alvina smiled and hugged her father,
"Of course I would come. I want to show my people that I'm not afraid of Silvianna,"
Magnus smiled,
"I knew from the day I found you, that you would be become a great hope for The Downworld,"
And Richard glanced at a man who looked angrily at Alvina.
And Izzy went over to Alvina,
"The clave is hoping you take the right steps to defeat Silvianna,"
Alvina smiled,
"I will, and it's best that our history as rivals stays between our family for now,"
And Izzy smiled and suddenly noticed the strange man stepping forward.
And she swallowed,
"Alvina...,"
And Alvina looked at Isabelle worried,
"Isabelle, is something wrong?,"
"Alvina! Look out!,"Richard yelled.
And the man shot with a pistol against Alvina, but Richard took him down just in time and the shot hit a glass window instead.
"Size the assassin!,"One of Alvina's guards yelled and grabbed the man.
And Alvina breathed fast in panic.
And Magnus quickly pulled his daughter into his arms,
"It's okey. You're safe,"
And Alvina turned to Richard who pulled her into his arms,
"It's okey, shh, I'm here,"
And the guards took away the assassin.

"He must be from Silvianna's kingdom. She's trying to get rid of Alvina,"Alec explained.
Magnus noticed his daughter was shaking of fear.
And he went over to Richard,
"Take her out of here, I'll be right there,"
And Richard nodded and turned to his wife,
"We're gonna go home,"
And they went out of the hall.

"How could Silvianna have know about the party?,"Izzy asked,
"This doesn't make any sense unless...,"
"Unless there's magic involved,"Magnus finished,
"She's spying on Alvina in some way. I should go and see how Alvina is feeling. I won't leave her terrified,"
And he went out to Alvina and Richard's carriage.

Alvina sat in the carriage, her hands still shaking.
And Magnus took her hands in his,
"You're safe now, everything is going to be alright. Here,"
And he held out a little bottle with a potion,
"This will help you sleep tonight. It will stop your shakings a little,"
Alvina nodded.
Magnus put his hand on her shoulder,
"Don't worry, we will find out the ones behind this. And we will defeat Silvianna. She won't be able to come near you again,"
And Richard nodded at Magnus,
"Thank you. Don't worry, I'll take care of her,"
And they left.

~The realm of the dead~

Alvina put on a white nightgown with flowery pattern. And she laid down in her and Richard's bed and drank the potion her father had given her.
And eventually fell asleep with Richard's arms around her waist.
She felt safe as long as Richard was with her.
And Harmony slept in her childbed.
But Alvina knew that the rivalry between her and Silvianna has gone to far. And it needs to stop.
