Chapter 13:~Enemies~

~A week later~

~Alicante~

Alvina stood with her father and the rest of her family when news about her husband arrived.

"My Queen, news from The Eastern Kingdom,"Her ambassador explained.
And Alvina nodded,
"Thank you,"
And her ambassador left.
And Alvina opened the letter and read it.

My dearest wife
I'm back on the throne and I'm will be back with you soon. But the war has just begun.
I love you, your beloved husband, Richard.

Alvina breathed out in relief.
And Izzy went over to her,
"Alvina, Harmony is just screaming, she won't go to sleep,"
And she placed Harmony in Alvina's arms.
And Alvina tried to calm her daughter down but she just continued to cry.
"I think she's worried,"Magnus explained.
And Alvina took her little daughter's hand,
"Mother is here, my little angel, you're safe,"
And she started to sing.

And Alvina placed her sleeping daughter in the childbed. But she knew that this wasn't over.

"Alvina,"Magnus began.
But Alvina just walked passed her father into the throne room to meet up with Richard's closets man's wife and daughters.

~Some minutes later~

Alvina sat on her throne in Alicante institute when Victor's wife Cecily entered and their daughters, Marina and Dalia entered the hall.

"Your Grace,"Cecily greeted. And she and her daughter bowed for their Queen and stood up straight,
"I'm sorry for your loss,"Cecily said.
"Oh, would you mean the brutal slaying of fairies in my Kingdom!? Among them my lady Sofia's father and brother!?," Alvina said angrily,
"Who were innocent of any crime. And all their lives obedient to their King and Queen!,"
"In the fortunes of war...,"Cecily began.
"It was not WAR!,"Alvina exclaimed,
"This was no honourable death on a battlefield! It was murder in eyes of angels and Downworld and Shadowhunters!,"
"Your Grace...,"Cecily began.
"Be quiet!," Alvina exclaimed.
And the lamps in the institute reigned a little out of Alvina's anger.
"Your Grace, I must return to my lord and husband,"Cecily excused.
"You will go whenever I command it Countess Western!," Alvina exclaimed,
"And all of you will dance to whatever tune I sing!,"
And Alvina stormed out of the room. And Cecily and her daughters bowed after her.
