That's where the funeral was. Steve was bringing in the casket with five other men while Sam sat saving a seat for his best friend and girlfriend.

Savannah came with Sharon instead, since both were giving speeches at the funeral. Sharon had informed that she hadn't told Steve about her being Peggy's niece yet so Savannah told Steve she would be arriving later.

"And now, I would like to invite Sharon Carter and Savannah Hemming to come up and say a few words." The priest announced.

The two blondes made their way up to the podium as the stood beside each other. Sharon decided to go first.

"You got this" Savannah said as Sharon took a shaky breath.

"Margaret Carter was known to most as a founder of SHIELD, but I just knew her as Aunt Peggy." Sharon started.

Savannah could see the nervous expression on her best friends face as Sharon went on.

"She had a photograph in her office. Aunt Peggy standing next to JFK. As a kid, that was pretty cool. But it was a lot to live up to. Which is why I never told anyone we were related.

I asked her once how she managed to master diplomacy and espionage, in a time when no one wanted to see a woman succeed at either." Savannah smiled sadly to herself as the two stood.

"She said, 'I'm going to tell you the same thing my eldest friend told me' compromise where you can. But where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right.

Even if the whole world is telling you to move, it is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye and say 'No, you move.' " Sharon finished.

"I know it sounds crazy, but I've known Peggy since I first got into the army. She was the first woman to do so and even though loved ones told me 'no it's too dangerous' or 'act more like a young woman', it only pushed me harder.

Peggy was one of the only people that supported me to the end and even though she's not physically here with me today. She's still supporting me. Peggy Carter was brilliant, strong, and fearless, she was dependable and she was cherishable.

The one thing she told me that always kept me going was, 'It's not about proving yourself to others, it's about helping them'." Savannah said as she held onto the pendant she wore.

"When I came out of the ice, I thought everyone I had known was gone. Then I found out she was alive. I was just lucky to have her." Steve told Natasha.

"She had you back, too." Natasha said.

"Who else signed?" Steve asked.

"Tony, Rhodey, Vision." Natasha sighed.

"Clint?"

"Says he's retired."

"Wanda? Anna? Tammy? Pietro?"

"TBD, TBD, not signing, and retired. I'm off to Vienna for the signing of the Accords. There's plenty of room on the jet" Natasha tried.

Steve sighed in response.

"Just because it's the path of least resistance, doesn't mean it's the wrong path. Staying together is more important than how we stay together." She continued.

"What are we giving up to do it? I'm sorry Nat. I can't sign it." Steve shook his head.

"I know" She sighed

"Then what are you doing here?" Steve asked

"I didn't want you to be alone." She shrugged.

"He's not completely alone" Savannah said as she walked over to the two.
