Mikasa X Eren: An Unknown Love

Mikasa POV

At the end of the day I started to pack my bag, I was about to talk to Eren when everyone in class surrounded him again. (Seriously, what is up with them?) I was about to walk away when I remember what Annie said, ‘You’re finally dating. You can be a little selfish you know.’ I walked over to Eren and said, ‘Shall we get going?’ Eren smiled at me then grabbed his bag. Everyone in class stared at me, I ignored at them and just concentrated on Eren. As he got up he wrapped him arm around my shoulder then pulled me closer to him. I whispered into his ear, ‘They’re going to start talking about us if you do that.’

  ‘I don’t care. In fact I want them to know we’re dating.’ I smiled at him then I ruffled his hair. ‘I’m normally the one who does that.’ Eren said, I just grinned at him then grabbed his hand. I can’t believe we’re actually dating. As we walked out of school with our hands held, people stared then talked about it. I didn’t think people would talk about it that much. ‘just ignore them, they just like to gossip.’

Feeling comforted by Eren I just wanted to spend more time with him. ‘Do you want to go on a date Eren?’ I asked him not even scared or nervous.

‘Sure, where do you want to go?’ Eren asked me as we continued to walk home. I tried thinking of a good place to go but I couldn’t think of anywhere. ‘How about we go somewhere with the others?’

‘Like a double date, well, triple date?’ I liked the idea of it, that way Eren and I wouldn’t be completely alone. It would be fun to go somewhere with the others as well.

‘I know a good place where we could go, there’s this theme park which isn’t too far away.’

I jumped up and down really excited about going, ‘I want to go there!’ Eren smiled then ruffled my hair. I like it when he does that. As we continued walking, we strolled past the park, there I saw Historia sitting down by herself. ‘Eren, can you go ahead. I’m just going to talk to Historia.’ Eren let go of my hand, but before leaving me he kissed my cheek. As I watched him walk away I rubbed my cheek with my hand.

I walked towards Historia then sat next to her on the swings. ‘What do you want?’ Historia asked me with a very rude tone. I didn’t mind though, when she acted like this I knew she was truly herself around me. I didn’t want to push the fact that she let me Eren have me. Even though she threatened me, I knew it must have been hard to let him go.

‘Why are you by yourself?’ I asked her trying to seem kind, not as if I was trying to provoke her.

 She turned her head to look at me, ‘Well, people in school that I have too much ‘attitude’, what’s that suppose to mean?’ She let out a heavy sigh then began swinging on the swing with her eyes closed. ‘I don’t need them anyway, I don’t need anyone. I live by myself anyway.’ With the last statement I raised my eyebrows.

‘I thought you lived with your mum.’ She laughed then jumped off of the swing. ‘No, I occasionally see her, but I actually live by myself.’ I knew what it was like to live by yourself. People think that it’s good, but in reality it’s really lonely. I knew Historia wasn’t okay being alone, no one liked it. Historia grabbed her bag then wandered away.

Before she left the park I shouted at her, ‘This weekend we’re going to a theme park, do you want to join us?’

Historia gave me an odd look, ‘You sure are a usual one aren’t you? Why would you want to invite a girl who used to have a crush on your boyfriend?’ She asked, with her head slightly tilted so she could see me at the corner of her eye.

‘Because I know you’re someone who’s actually a good person.’ I grabbed my bag, then said one more thing before leaving ‘I’ll tell you the details when we’re in school.’
