The stars are a beautiful thing, aren't they? They all live together in perfect harmony, looking to be as if they were touching. In reality, they are thousands of feet apart. Quite a sad thing. How lonely must they be that they have never seen another of their species. Then again, they probably don't even know what loneliness is. They just drift off in space, without a care in the world. I wonder how they would respond if they crashed in to another specimen of their kind. Would they be afraid? Would they be interested? Would they continue with their journey through space? ...

I don't know. I really don't know. 

I don't know a lot of things. 

But what I do know is that I love him. 

Who is him, you're asking? 

Well, his name is John Laurens.

We've been dating for about a year now.

By the way I'm Alex. Well, my full name is Alexander, but people just started to shorten it to Alex. 

I'm a freshman in collage. And, what do you know, My dorm buddy is none other than...

You guessed it! John Laurens. How cliche, I know. But, hey! I don't make the rules. I'm actually pretty excited. This year may actually be good. 

For once in my life, maybe my life won't be a mess.

But one can only hope...
