"Romanoff?" Tony called out as they stood around Ultron's device, destroying the Sentries that came too close. "You and Banner better not be playing hide the zucchini."

"Relax, shell-head. Not all of us can fly." Natasha replied making Evelyn chuckle. "I mean, Evelyn could have given me a lift but..."

"Sorry." Evelyn apologized seeing her friend jump out off a tractor.

"What's the drill?" Natasha asked joining the team.

"This is the drill." Tony replied pointing at the Vibranium core. "If Ultron gets a hand on the core, we lose."

As Evelyn got ready to blast the three Sentries in front of them, Hulk jumped on them ripping them apart with a growl.

"Is that the best you can do?" Thor shouted at Ultron who had finally shown up.

Ultron looked at them for a second and raised his hand, summoning his army of Sentries to join him which were more in numbers than Evelyn had guessed.

"You had to ask." Steve shot Thor a pointed look, Evelyn groaning beside him.

"This is the best I can do." Ultron replied his army at standby. "This is exactly what I wanted. All of you, against all of me. How could you possibly hope to stop me?"

"Well, like the old man said." Tony replied looking at Steve. "Together."

That seemed to be go for war as the robots attacked at the same time. At one point Evelyn didn't know who was where as various blasts and punches went around surrounding the drill. She felt getting hit couple of times but she brushed it off as it went around. Evelyn briefly saw Vision throwing Ultron out, Thor and Tony joining him. Seeing all three of them shooting at Ultron, Evelyn joined their side with a solar flare. Ultron's face began to melt as he collapsed on his knees. They all put their hands down, waiting to do the final blow.

"You know, with the benefit of hindsight-" Ultron tried to speak when Hulk knocked him far away and the Sentries started to retreat as Hulk roared at them.

"They'll try to leave the city!" Thor exclaimed as couple began to fly.

"We can't let 'em, not even one." Tony shook his head. "Rhodey!"

Evelyn went back inside as Tony and Thor flew off to do their part.

"We gotta move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin." Steve addressed them with a pant. "You guys get to the boats, we'll sweep for stragglers." He pointed at him and Evelyn. "Be right behind you."

"What about the core?" Clint asked looking at the device.

"I'll protect it." Wanda stated and nodded confidently. "It's my job."

"Nat." Clint called out, nodding to the side, both of them rushing towards the lifeboats.

Evelyn and Steve swept the area, stumbling upon two men and led them towards the extraction point. They let the SHIELD agents help people on as they caught their breaths. She saw Natasha standing with Hulk a little further ahead.

"Thor." Tony spoke as the duo stood with the god. "I'm gonna need you back in the church."

"Is this the last of them?" Thor asked referring to the civilians and the last remaining lifeboat.

"Yeah." Steve nodded. "Everyone else is on the carrier."

"You know, if this works, we maybe don't walk away." Tony stated and Evelyn clenched her fists, knowing he had a point.

"Maybe not." Thor sighed and Evelyn was about to open her mouth when their Quinjet started to shoot, Steve quickly putting his shield over their heads.

When the dust settled, Thor flew off towards the church and Evelyn looked back up to see if everyone was okay. Her hand flew to her mouth when she spotted Pietro collapsing to the ground with multiple bullet wounds. She quickly rushed over with Steve in tow, seeing Clint hugging a small child.

"No, no, no." Evelyn put her fingers on Pietro's neck even though she guessed he was dead.

She looked at Steve and Clint with a sigh and closed his eyes. Steve put a hand on her shoulder, pulling her back so he could carry the fallen Avenger to the lifeboat. Setting Pietro on the ground, Clint laid on the seats next to him.

"I'm fine." Clint shook his head to Evelyn and she nodded walking back to the city.

"Natasha?" Evelyn asked on the coms, not seeing her there. "Natasha come in."

"I'm okay." Natasha breathed out. "I'm on the Helicarrier."

"That's everyone." Steve breathed out, last of the cops going onto the lifeboats.

"Where's Wanda?" Evelyn asked not seeing the girl as she was protecting the drill. "Wanda?"

The city suddenly began to fall, Evelyn and Steve jumping on the edge the last second. Rolling on her side, she looked down at the city which was going down in a dangerous speed.

"Thor, on my mark." She heard Tony say as a large blast of lightning shot up from the top of the city. "Now!"

The floating city exploded with a bright blast as Evelyn and Steve held their breaths to hear from their friends.

"Tony?" Evelyn asked with a shaky voice. "Tony? Thor? Anyone? No..."

Evelyn assumed the worst, tears in her eyes as she kept looking down. Steve wrapped an arm around her shoulders as she felt her body tremble.

"I, uh, I should go down there." Evelyn stumbled on her feet as the lifeboat docked in the Helicarrier. "I should check-"

"Already on it." Rhodey's voice came out and she saw the War Machine suit flying down.

"Where is he?" Evelyn heard Wanda's shaky voice coming from somewhere and she spotted the girl a little further ahead.

"Wanda, he-" Evelyn tried to break the news but Wanda cut her off.

"I know." She muttered, tears streaming down her face. "Where is his body?"

After leading a broken Wanda to the infirmary wing, Evelyn set off to find Natasha. Rhodey had found Tony and Thor, both thankfully okay besides small cuts and bruises. She found her friend in the bridge with a tablet in her hands.

"Hey." Evelyn poked her side and Natasha looked up at her quickly masking her sadness but Evelyn could tell. "What's wrong? Where's Bruce?"

"He's in the jet." Natasha replied putting the tablet on a desk. "Turned on stealth mode."

Knowing her words wouldn't comfort her, Evelyn just wrapped her arms around Natasha, feeling the toll of the past few days on her body now. Natasha rested her head on Evelyn's shoulder and closed her eyes for a moment.

"You know you have a huge hole on your back, right?" Natasha asked and Evelyn felt her cold hands on her bare back.

"What?" Evelyn frowned not remembering getting hit there. "Oh, must have burned off with the wings."

"What was that all about?" Natasha pulled back from the hug and raised an eyebrow at Evelyn.

"No idea." Evelyn shrugged, knowing she had to work on that. "Just happened as I was plummeting to my death."

"Oh, we're going to have so much fun now." Natasha smirked. "You're my personal airplane now."

"First can I just not move for a month or so?" Evelyn groaned, all her muscles aching.

"What are you talking about?" Steve was passing by them with a smirk. "I thought we were going dancing tonight."

"In your dreams, Rogers." Evelyn called after him making him let out a hearty laugh.

"Ugh." Natasha groaned, shaking her head. "Disgusting to watch your grandparents flirt."

"Oh, shut up."
