Over the course of months, Georgiana had won over the hearts of everyone with her bubbly personality. She had also gotten used to the modern world faster than Evelyn had expected but she guessed it was normal as she spent a lot of time with Tony. Evelyn had told her that she would give up being an agent if she wanted it but Georgiana argued that Evelyn shouldn't change anything. In fact she pestered her to continue her training so instead of becoming an agent back in the day, they would recruit her as an Avenger when the time came.
Georgiana had also preferred to stay at the Compound instead of their old house or Evelyn's penthouse in the city as she liked having more people around. When she wasn't at the Compound, she stayed at Tony's, already having a room there. The two sisters also had a heart to heart, cried for what they both had been through and thankfully put it behind them.
Evelyn was in an elevator going up to the penthouse as FRIDAY had let her up. She was supposed to pick Georgiana up an hour ago but didn't get a reply from her. Getting out the elevator, she heard sounds coming from the living room and stopped at the entrance.
"How have I never seen these before?" Tony asked as Georgiana munched on some popcorn.
"Because I knew you'd make fun of Steve." Evelyn announced her presence, both of their heads snapping back to her. "Next time I call, answer your phone please."
"Sorry." Georgiana apologized with a smile. "We were in too deep."
"I feel betrayed that you haven't shown me these." Tony narrowed his eyes at Evelyn. "Steve's my favorite living legend now."
"Ready to go?" Evelyn asked Georgiana after she rolled her eyes at Tony. "It's not a long drive to DC."
"Yeah." Georgiana nodded, putting the popcorn aside. "I'll go grab my bag. Give me five minutes."
"Oh, I found the perfect school for the kid." Tony remembered and picked up his phone to pull up the information. "She can start in the Spring term."
"I don't ha-" Georgiana was protesting from the hallway when Evelyn cut her off.
"You're going to school like a normal kid, Georgie." Evelyn stated. "End of discussion."
"For once I'm on her side, kid." Tony added when Georgiana looked at him for help. "Sorry."
"So?" Evelyn looked at him expectantly. "What's it called?"
"Midtown School of Science and Technology."
"How is she today?" Evelyn asked the nurse before they went in the room. "Better than last week, I hope?"
"Yes, Miss Townsend." The nurse replied with a smile. "Today's one of her good days."
Evelyn nodded at the woman with a grateful smile and opened the door. Peggy's eyes gleamed with happiness seeing her friend at the door. Georgiana had asked to see Peggy a month after coming back to life and Evelyn asked the nurses if it would be okay. Since then, they had been visiting Peggy regularly.
"Girls." Peggy greeted them with a smile.
"I brought you your favorite." Georgiana stated, showing her the box of pastries from the shop at Brooklyn.
"She ate half of it on the way here." Evelyn added playfully rolling her eyes at her sister.
"Because someone is making me go to school." Georgiana groaned, sitting on the chair next to the bed. "Tell her it's unnecessary Peggy."
"I think it's a wonderful idea." Peggy stated with a small smile. "Go out, meet people your age."
"I guess so." Georgiana mumbled. "I'm just scared you know, my ID says 2001 instead of 1927. What if someone finds out?"
"With me and Tony behind your back, no one will find out." Evelyn assured her sister. "Hell, we can even change your surname on your ID."
"And if they do..." Peggy slowly reached out and grabbed Georgiana's hand. "You're a Townsend. A strong and brave one at that. Just like your sister. Own it."
"Thanks, Peggs." Evelyn smiled. "Learned it from the best."
"You're flattering me." Peggy chuckled, slightly coughing at the end. "Steve too busy to come?"
"Why don't you ask Evie?" Georgiana smirked at her sister, earning a light slap on the back of her head. "Ouch!"
"Evelyn, sweetie." Peggy looked at her with glossy eyes, a smile on her lips. "I told you it was perfectly fine. I've lived my life. Why shouldn't the two of you?"
"Well, there's not much going on between us so never mind that." Evelyn brushed it off, feeling the tips of her ears burning. "He said he was sorry he couldn't come."
Evelyn couldn't say that he was looking for Bucky, no one on the team besides Natasha and Sam knew about him and they liked to keep it that way until they could see if he was the Winter Soldier or back to being himself.
