After Danafor's collapse and the traumatic event that was left behind along with the giant hole there; Meliodas and I found ourselves in a new Kingdom, Liones.
"And don't go fucking blowing this one up, alright?" I said, jabbing Mel in the side of the head with my finger.
"Okay, okay, I apologized. I didn't intend for that to happen." He said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder as we walked to Liones.
Baby Elizabeth had been adopted by the King of Liones, Bartra, and his wife, Caroline.
They were happy to take her in.
Amid the destruction of Danafor, Merlin kept close to us, for those ten years we settled in Liones. She kept tabs on everything occurring now that Meliodas kept a grip on the key to the Coffin of Eternal Darkness.
Meliodas and I were content with that and we even became knights, honoring the King, Grandmasters, and Holy Knights.
It even went as far as us getting a small home near the castle for us to stay in for the time being.
Why not stay somewhere else you may ask.
Elizabeth is why Meliodas wanted to stay, to be sure she was okay. Not that I could debate against his wants.
I just wanted to be close to him.
I was sitting at the desk, combining some spices and seasonings I'd obtained from the food market earlier in the day.
Liones was filled with vendors and snacks of all sorts but the last thing I'd do is..
Let Meliodas cook. . . .
I allowed him once, only because I was tired and didn't feel like cooking.
"Meliodas...what the actual fuck is this?"
"Whatcha mean? It's dinner!" He said, unphased as he chewed into the beef stew, "Mmm, nasty."
My face contorted into one of disgust as I spat it out.
"Hun, let's talk about something called seasoning."
"Now Y/N, come oh n-"
"Mel, your food is bland. And disgusting. It's fucking inedible." . . .
Ever since then, I've never let this man cook again.
"Never again. Neveeer again will I let this man cook in my damn kitchen."
"You talking about me again, tuts." Meliodas walked in, sucking his teeth as he walked up behind me.
