"He doesn't know what's he's talking about" Mattia says

"I think he does" I say "what does he mean by since the beginning" I glare at Mattia

"Just let it go" Mattia says

"No, what does he mean" I asked "what do you mean since the beginning Alejandro" I look at him

"Uh-that we knew-w since—"

"You don't have to answer her" Mattia interrupts Alejandro

"Yes he does has to answer, why can't you just let him answer me" I said as the fear in my body turned into angriness 

"Just tell her" kairi said

"Because it's none of your business" Mattia answered me ignoring what kairi said

"None of my business? This is literally about me, I am the 'business' so just tell me before—"

"Before what?" Mattia raises his eyebrows "what are you going to do" he smirks

I stood quiet

"What I thought" Mattia says "let's go" he tells Alejandro and kairi

"Before I put all of your asses in jail" I blurt out

Mattia stops what's he doing before walking up to me

"yo leave me out of this" kairi said

"Yeah me too, I'm not going to spend the rest of my life in jail, how am I going to have kids?" Alejandro says

Both kairi and Mattia roll their eye's

"There's only a problem with that" Mattia says

"And what is that?" I ask

"Snitches get stitches" he said as he pick his shirt up to reveal a gun tucked in his pants

"I'm not scared of you" I said

"Really? How come" Mattia smirked as he took his gun out and aimed it to my head

"Because you can't kill someone you love" I said catching all of them off guard

Alyssa never stops saying that Mattia likes me, I honestly don't believe her but let's just hope she's right

Can't take it back now, if I'm wrong then I fucked it up

"Oh she went there" kairi said with his eyebrows up

"Holy fuck" Alejandro laughs "did she just say that"

"Get out" Mattia says keeping eye contact with me

"Your kicking me out of my own house ?" I say

"Not you" Mattia points his gun at kairi and Alejandro while still looking at me "them, go wait in the car"

And like that it was only me and Mattia, he sat back down on my bed

The room was silent so I spoke up "I shouldn't have said that, especially in front of them" I said talking about kairi and Alejandro

"I knew since you applied, I saw your job application in warrens office in one of our meetings" Mattia said ignoring what I had just said

I stood quiet

Mattia looked down and scratched the back of his head as his lips formed a frown "I'm the reason you got that job" he said then looked at me "I'm sorry"

My eyes flicker from his eyes to anywhere else but his face

"I read your job application so I knew it was you and I told him you sound like you'll be great for the job, he didn't believe me, he thought that you can't tell if a person is good enough for a job through a job application, so I gave him eighty thousand dollars"

I didn't get this job because of me I got this job because of Mattia's stupid money?

"I know I should've never done that, it was a really stupid thing to do" Mattia sighed

My heart shattered into pieces knowing I got the job because he paid Warren to hire me

What was I thinking, I should've known I could never get a job that big by myself

My vision became blurry and my eye became watery, I tried to fight it but the tears slid down my cheek

Mattia turns his head towards me and looks at me for a second before scooting closer to me and wiping the tear away

"Don't cry" he creases my cheek

"Getting this job was my biggest accomplishment, so many people applied and I was the one who got chosen and it made me feel good but I didn't get it because I deserved it or because I was good enough, I got because of your dirty money" I sniffle

"The only reason I used my money on you is because I saw potential in you, I knew you were perfect for the job" Mattia said

"Still, the right thing was to stay on your lane, I'm grateful that you got me this job just the way you did it wasn't right" I look down

"I'm sorry, i just have some type of guilt because your unemployed"

"Guilt?" I furrowed my eyebrows

"I shot up the bar you worked at and because of that, you got unemployed, it was my fault that you didn't have a real job" he scratched the back of his head "and I wanted to know how you would react to getting the job, I wanted to see if you'll tell me the good news" he frowns "getting this job is a big deal and I guess I just wanted to be the person you tell this type of stuff too"

I stood still

"I should get going" Mattia gets up

"Your not going to hurt me?" I ask as the question that wondered in my head

"Like you said, can't kill someone you love"

My stomach twisted and my heart pounded in my chest

"Get some sleep" he moves my hair out of my face before bending down and placing his warm lips on my forehead
