Your POV

"Can you put the cake in the fridge, I'll take the lasagna out of the oven" my dad said

I nodded and picked up the cake from the table and placed it in the fridge

"Do you need any more help?" I ask

"No I think I got it, you can go take a shower now" he assured me

"Okay I'll be down in a couple minute" I said

I wipe my hands on my pants and walked up the stairs

"Wait" my dad stopped me

"Yeah?"

"Did you invite anyone, just asking incase they come while you shower" my dad said

"u-uh yeah I invited Alyssa and Mattia" I say

"Your boyfriend and girlfriend are coming over?" He joked and I laughed

"Yeah" I when along with it

"I like them both" my dad answer "one more than the other but I like them" my dad said causing me to laugh

"Who do you like more?" I ask in curiosity

He shrugs his shoulders

I shake my head and continue to go to the second floor then got in the shower

When I got out the shower I tightly wrap the towel around my body and walk into my childhood room

My room was painted blue, I always loved blue

I walk up to the big white drawer and began looking through it trying to find something cute to wear

I sigh as I didn't find anything to wear, all this clothes I have here is old close that still fit and clothes my dad buys for me

I quickly walk to my small closet and began looking through all my clothes that was hanging

I found a small grey dress that went right above my knees, I don't have anything nicer to wear so I went with the dress

After I changed I quickly brushed my hair and curled my eyelashes

I know Mattia said he'll arrive late but I was starting to get inpatient, I just love how well he gets along with my dad

My dad has never really liked the idea of me being with a guy, so knowing he likes Mattia is mind blowing

I just hope me and Mattia don't fuck up, I don't want to go tell my dad why he won't be seeing him anymore

I heard the door bell ring and instantly get up and go down the stairs

I see my dad opening the door to a guy his age, I stop what I was doing and sigh

It was his cop friend jake, I've met jake a couple times before, he's family just like Alyssa, jake has been my dads friend for the longest now

"Don't need to be so excited to see me" he jokes

"Don't mind her, she thought you were her boyfriend" my dad answers for me

"Boyfriend!?" Jake says "you got a boyfriend now?"

I nod as my cheeks turned red, I still haven't got used to calling Mattia my boyfriend especially since he's not actually my boyfriend

"He's a good man, you'll like him" my dad pats jakes back "you hungry?"

"Yess, what did you cook?" Jake answers

"Lasagna" I answer for my dad "I'll be upstairs" I let my dad know before going back up the stairs

I flopped in my bed out of boredom, I looked up at the ceiling

I smack my forehead with my hand, what's wrong with me? Why am I desperately waiting for Mattia?

It isn't like me to wait for a man

I sat up on my bed before hearing "Alyssa is here!"

I get up and made my way downstairs

"You look good" Alyssa greets me

"She's trying to look good for her boyfriend" my dad jokes

Alyssa quickly shoots me a confused look but goes along with it "of course she is"

"You hungry?" I ask her

"Yea, can I just leave my things in your room" she said painting at her bag and her sweater

I nod and she follows me back to my room

"Boyfriend?" Alyssa says as soon as it's just me and her

"Mattia" I answered

"Since when?" She furrowed her eyebrows

"We're not actually dating" I said

"Then why is your dad calling him your boyfriend? I didn't even know your dad meet Mattia" she says, her tone changing

"Are you seriously getting upset?" I ask

"Im your best friend" she said

"That doesn't mean I have to tell you everything" I answered getting upset myself "Mattia was at my apartment when my dad came to visit so when my dad asked who he was Mattia told him he was my boyfriend and my dad ended up liking Mattia so now we just fake it for his sakes"

"Ok" she said

"Ok?" I furrowed my eyebrows "didn't you want me to end up with Mattia?"

"I do it's just ever since he's come to your life it's all about him" she sighed making me furrow my eyebrows "I'm going downstairs to eat" she said as she walked away

First my car stops working, then I can't stop thinking about Mattia, and apparently I've been pushing Alyssa away because I'm to up my ass about Mattia

I walk downstairs and serve myself a piece of lasagna just like everyone else

I scoot my chair closer to the table, we all eating began to eat when we hear a knock

From the corner of my eye I can see Alyssa shoot me a glare "uh I'll get that" I said standing up and walking to the door knowing exactly who's here

Mattia

"Hey" Mattia says as soon as I open the door

"Hey" I say giving him a fake smile "come in" I said moving out the way

He steps in "you okay?" He asks

"I'll tell you later" I sigh "want to eat?" I ask

"Yea it smells good" he gives me a soft smile
