"Oh Mattia this is jake my dads friend" i say introducing jake "and jake this is Mattia my   
u-hh...boyfriend"

"So I've heard" jake says as he shakes Mattias hand

"And you already know Alyssa and my dad" I tell Mattia as I serve him a piece of lasagna and pass it to him

"Hey son, how you been" my dad says as Mattia takes a seat next to me

"I've been good, how about you?" Mattia answered as he began eating his lasagna

"I've been good too"

I turned my head to face Mattia, he looked diffrent, he seemed sad And I don't think I've ever seen this side of him

I'm pretty sure Mattia noticed that I was worrying about him, he placed his hand on my thigh and gave it a little squeeze with a soft smile on his face

I decided to brush it off but just for now, I continued to eat and when we all finished eating my dad and his friend decided on watching tv in the living room

"Want to go upstairs?" I ask Alyssa, I know she's upset with me right now and being in a room with me and Mattia is the last thing she'll want but I don't want to leave her alone

"Yeah" she answered and soon Mattia and Alyssa were following me to my room

Once we went inside the room Mattia spoke up "I'm going to guess and say your favorite color is blue"

"What gave it away?" I said making Mattia laugh softly

Mattia wrapped his arm around my neck, pulling me closer to him "so are you going to tell me why you seemed upset when I got here" he whispers in my ear

"Are you going to tell me what's been bothering you?" I whisper back

"Nothings been bothering me—"

"Mattia I know something is up" I cut him off "come one we can talk in the bathroom" I said grabbing his arm and pulling him into the bathroom that was right across from my room

As soon as we walked in I locked the door

"Your dads downstairs" Mattia says

"I know, we're not doing anything bad" I shrug my shoulders

"What if he thinks—"

"Whats been bothering you?" I ask interrupting him

"I'll tell you after you tell me, lady's first" he said and I sigh

"Me and Alyssa got into an argument before you got here" I said

"About?" He asks

I pressed my lips together "you" I disconnected our eye contact "she's doesn't like that me and you are getting closer because I've been pushing her away" I look down

Mattia picks my head back up and tucks my hair behind my ear

"Why don't you ask her to sleep over, it'll be just you two" he smiles at me "and we can hang out when you don't have plans so you and Alyssa can hang out more"

"What about me having to work for you?" I ask "I'll still be able to see you more than Alyssa"

Mattia leans in and kisses my forehead "you don't have to work for me anymore" he said making my eyes widen

"But you said—"

"I know what I said and I also know you won't rat me out, so that's why I'm not forcing you to work for me anymore" he said "plus I'm the reason your friendship with Alyssa is messing up and I know how much you care about her, so I'll be—"

Before he could even say anything I attached my lips to his, I felt his body tense, I know he wasn't expecting me to kiss him

I felt his hands cup my face and I couldn't help but smile in between the kiss

Mattia's pov

I felt isabellas hand on my chest before she pulled her lips away from mine

"Don't think I forgot that you also have something bothering you?" She asked

"I messed up" I blurt out

"On?" I see her eyebrows furrow

"I made a stupid mistake long time ago and now it's eating me up because that mistake can make me lose someone I ended up caring about more than I planned" I say

"Can it be fixed?"  She asked

God she's so innocent, how doesn't she know I'm talking about her

"I think I got it under control" I answer

I was actually planing on telling her that I was using her because her dads a cop but since she doesn't work for me anymore I'm basically not using her anymore

Plus I doubt she'll ever find out that I was using her

"Good" she gives me a peck on the lips

"Let's go" I said as I put my arm around her and kiss her forehead

As soon as we walked back into her room I heard her curse

"Oh fuck" she says taking my hand off her

"What?" I ask

"Alyssas not here!" she said

Then she quickly ran down the stairs and I follow

Isabella's pov

"Hey did you guys see Alyssa?" I ask my dad and his friend

"Yeah she just left" my dads friend answered

"Ok thank you" I said and left the house as Mattia trailed behind me

"Alyssa!" I shout as I see her get in her car

"I'll give you two some privacy" Mattia says "you too be careful, it's dark out here"

"I'll see you inside" I say as I jog up to Alyssa

"Hey" I tell her "you okay? Why'd you leave?"

"I'm just sitting there so what's the point of even being here" she answered with attitude "I'm going home"

"I'm sorry, I was just talking to Mattia because he seemed upset about something so—"

"I'm clearly upset two but did you tried talking to me? No! Of course Mattia comes first" she said

"Don't forget I'm upset too and you know who tried to make me feel better? Mattia not you" I answered getting mad

"Whatever, since I can't 'make you feel better' then there's no need for us to still be friends" she said shutting her car door

"Are you serious?" I say

"I am, don't even try calling me, it's clear that I'm not as important as Mattia is to you, wish you two the best" she said starting her car and driving away

I felt tears forming in my eyes as I see her car disappear, I look up and quickly blink then wipe the tears away before walking back into my dads house
