I'm driving to my new house with my mom. The uncomfortable silence is interrupted by her stupid voice. "Omg Y/n I'm so proud of you." I hate her.
"Shut up woman." I replied back with venom in my mouth, she simply giggled. I despise her.
I pull out my phone and start watching content that only true emos watch.

"Alright we're here." My mom says, as she opens the car doors for me. I walk out clutching my bag nervously. I'm scared, panicking. Sweat rolls down my forehead as I clutch my bag.

"Hi, what can I help you with?" He asks politely.
"According to all known laws of aviation-" I respond, so anxious I almost start reciting the script to my favorite movie. I look at the ground in embarrassment. I expect to be kicked out for my awful unprofessional reply.
However, the guy's face lights up. "Oh, so you're the new roommate! Come in!" I walk in. "I'm Edd."
"I'm Y/n L/n." I say.
"Here let me guide you to your room." He grabs my hand. I blush. We go into a cramped room. "This is your room." He smiles.
"Well, I'll leave you to unpack." He leaves, but not before closing the door. Maybe he isn't a nerd after all.
I unpack my room and put on my pajamas.
