Eden tore her gaze away as she made an attempt to rise to her feet, but she suddenly yelped in pain.
"Ack!"
Gabriel caught her before she could fall and sat her down on the nearest tree stump.
"Where does it hurt?" The black Lycan asked as he knelt down in front of Eden.
"My left hind paw...." Eden replied, her voice tight with pain, the hind paw in question was now swollen.
The black Lycan glanced up at the sky, "It's almost dawn." Eden's heart sank. She had missed curfew.
"I'll take you back to my camp, I'll tend to your paw there."
"What's your name?" Eden asked the strange Lycan, who suddenly seemed very uncomfortable.
"G-Gabriel Archer." The black Lycan stammered. Gabriel was grateful for his black fur, it was great for hiding the blush under his fur.
"I'm Eden."
