"Why does my chest hurt? - Kageyama☁️

-Description-
You are the new manager with Kiyoko for the Karasuno boys volleyball team. The team loves you and has so many questions. However, one specific setter with a milk addiction catches your eye. What will become of this weird connection?

Kageyama pov
I walk into the gym, ready for practice. 'cant wait to shove it in hinatas face that i beat him' That thought didnt last long though as I saw Hinata already inside throwing a volleyball in the air.

He then starts talking to me but I get distracted when I see Kiyoko talking to someone. 'who is that? and why are they in the gym?' I'm pulled out of my thoughts as I hear Daichi and Suga come in. "Shutup Hinata!" I hear daichi yell.

I cant believe Kiyoko asked me to be co-manager! I don't know much about volleyball but it seems interesting enough. Besides who can say no to Kiyoko?

I talk with Kiyoko over some basic rules. It's sort of difficult to understand but i'm sure i'll get the hang of it soon.

I start to feel uneasy when I sense two piercing eyes staring at me. I turn to see who it is and seems to be a tall boy with black hair and a, honestly scary, expression. He turns away quickly once he notices I 'caught him' though.

Kageyama pov
I'm staring at the random person in the gym and just wonder why my chest hurts when looking at them. Apparently they noticed and tuned around, I have never turned away so quickly. I don't know why but I get the feeling this person means something.

y/n pov
I sort of shyly stand beside Kiyoko as the rest of the boys arrive and she starts to introduce me. "Everyone this is y/n. They will be our co-manager and manager when I graduate."

Everyone began to pummel me with questions except for a tall blonde with glasses, a green-haired shy guy behind him and the guy who was staring at me before. I answer some of the questions but Kiyoko quickly shuts them down. "Guys slow down. Don't scare them off, just introduce yourselves." They go around the room and it leads up to the guy with a staring problem. "I'm kageyama tobio, setter" "nice to meet you, kageyama!"

kageyama pov
My chest starts to hurt again as the new manager says my name. It sounds nice with their voice. 'What the hell is wrong with me?'

y/n pov
As they begin practice I watch in awe as I see the ball moving so swiftly. Then out of nowhere the ball is set and Hinata spikes down the ball at crazy speed and he looks at me to make sure I was looking. "Woah that was insane!" I yell.

Kageyama looks at me and says, with a dead face. "It's all me, he has no idea what he's doing." Hinata and him then begin to argue. Even though that remark was quite rude I can't help but think 'I want to be close with him...'

After practice ends I go to the vending machine while reading my notes to grab a drink, probably milk. As I approach the machine I see a familiar figure already there, Kageyama. "Hey kageyama!" I say. He jumped so I guess I startled him. "Oh sorry...didn't mean to scare you" He pulls a milk out of the bottom and just says "no worries. you didn't scare me anyways" Something about his presence made me feel like I could be myself. "yea, right. you totally jumped."

He walked out of the way and I get a milk as well, he looks shocked at my choice but I shrug it off. "Most people don't like milk. Call me weird for it." I looks at him surprised he's the one taking initiative for the conversation. "Well i don't know, i like it." I smile and blush.

He then offers to walk me home and I agree. We drink our milk while learning more about each other. I normally don't tell people I just met everything about me but I feel I can trust him, like i'm safe.

We arrive at my house. "This is my stop!" I walk up to the door and turn around to wave goodbye to him but he's standing beside me. "Kageyama?"

kageyama pov
I cant with this weird feeling anymore. I think it's... a crush. It can't be, I just met this person. Although I can't think of another explanation...Ive got to ask for their number.

"Kageyama?" I hear them question. I hold my breathe and ask the question. "Can I have your number?" I can't believe I actually just asked that. "Of course! Cant refuse to give my number to a cute guy you know" I'm shocked at their response but relived I didn't throw them off.

y/n pov
I'm quite surprised he asked for my number. Although I cant say i'm complaining. I give him my number as he is all flustered and avoiding my gaze. Before he leaves he thanks me and says he'll text me later.

-Later that night-

I'm laying in my bed in hopes he'll text me tonight. I can't sleep, i'm too excited over what will happen next. Then I hear it, my phone goes off and i grab it almost knocking it off my bed. It's a message from Kageyama.

"Hey. It's kageyama."
"Hello! :)"
"wait...you're awake? why aren't you asleep yet"
"well to be honest i was waiting for you to text me"

"well that's good to know since i want to talk to you too"
"really?"
"yea...so about today, sorry for staring at you. I just was trying to figure out why looking at you may by chest hurt"
"looking at me made your chest hurt? do you know what that is?

"idk, you got a virus or something?"
"no dumbass...that's what you feel when you like someone"

"like...as a friend?"
"nope, more like a crush"
"hello? kageyama?"

I guess he went asleep...or died. I don't know. Its weird to think the all mighty king (with trust and anger issues i might add) has a crush on me.

You fell asleep that night excited for what your future holds.
