In the Future... (Miraculous Ladybug)

It had been a normal Tuesday for Marinette. School had felt like it dragged on forever-- mainly because every student wanted to get out of the building in order to go enjoy their afternoon. She had been sitting in class with her classmates when the bell finally rang, signifying that the school day was officially over. 

"Come on, Marinette! We're going to be late, again!" Alya groaned while dragging her friend through the halls. "The movie is starting in fifteen minutes. And last time I checked it takes us that long to get to the movie theater between having to walk there and you tripping on your own feet every three seconds." She teased.

Marinette couldn't help but giggle at what her friend had said. "Okay, okay let's go!"

But of course right after that sentence she just had  to trip and fall. She sighed, and looked up at Alya, who wasn't there. Instead she was at the entrance of the school signaling to Marinette with her hand to go to her.

Just as they sat down to watch the movie in the dark theater, they heard frantic screaming coming from outside. 'Great' Marinette thought to herself. 'Yet another akumatization'.

Marinette immediately shot up, and short after realized that Alya was looking at her in confusion. "I uh- I had too much water! Gottagobye!" 

As she ran to the stalls she tripped over someone. "Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." She explained rapidly as she got up. She needed to get to the bathroom and transform as soon as possible.

"It's no problem, me either." The person chuckled. Marinette looked up to see who she had just bumped into. She immediately recognized those green eyes.

"A-adrien? What are you doing here?" She asked. Had he been seeing the same movie and she didn't realize?

Adrien looked up at her. "Oh hey Marinette!" He waved with a nervous smile. He knew he needed to go transform. "I came to see the new movie with my friend, Wayhem, but looks like there's something going on outside."

Marinette nodded. "Well yeah, um, you better go hide. I bet Ladybug and Chat Noir will be here soon."

With that, they both went in opposite directions and transformed where they knew nobody was near. Ladybug went outside and went looking for the monster. 'There they are', she thought to herself.

"Good afternoon, M'lady." Chat smirked, suddenly appearing next to her, which Ladybug tackled him to the ground for that.

After realizing it was her partner, she quickly helped him up. "Sorry!" She let out a laugh. "Reflex."

That was when the akumatized villain spotted them. They both went alert and took out their weapons. The villain wasn't too humongous compared to previous villains such as Stoneheart and Glaciator. They had an hourglass sort of shape on their costume, which Ladybug and Chat Noir guessed the villain controlled something with time, such as Timetagger, Timebreaker, and Backwarder did. 

"Let me guess," said Chat. "They got akumatized because they wanted to switch time." Ladybug nodded as if she was saying probably. That's when the villain shot their light beams at the heroes. Ladybug and Chat Noir used their weapons to fight the villain, which was hard considering they had to dodge the powers. They didn't know what would happen if they got hit. 

"Let's try something different because this doesn't seem to be working." Ladybug sighed. Chat Noir nodded in agreement, and they both went somewhere to hide.

"We don't know what would happen if we got hit, M'lady." Chat began. "Who knows how dangerous it would be if we got hit!"

Ladybug groaned, she knew he was right. But how were they supposed to defeat this villain that made people disappear and seemed to call himself Timerunner? 

"Okay. First we had Timebreaker, then we got Timetagger, and now Timerunner?" Chat recalled. "Come on Hawkmoth get better names for your victims!" He taunted.

Ladybug couldn't help but laugh at what he said. Little did Chat Noir know his Lady had finally fallen for him. She had actually been jealous when he said he moved on and found someone else. It turned out that someone else was Marinette, she didn't need to worry. But it was true, his quirky and annoying puns had found a way to her heart. It wasn't like her and Chat were dating or anything, but there was definitely something there. But she couldn't say anything, it would risk her secret identity to be revealed, and if it was revealed then-

"LADYBUG WATCH OUT!" Chat shouted as Ladybug was lost in her thoughts.

"Wha-" But it was too late. Ladybug had been shot by the villain's light beam. She was gone.

The villain laughed. "I might as well send you with her you nasty cat!" 

Before Chat Noir had time to react he had been teleported to somewhere else. Little did they both know the journey ahead of them.

"Where am I?" Ladybug questioned herself. 

She looked around and decided it would be best to de-transform so nobody would doubt her since she didn't know where she was. Her mind was focused on going back to Paris so she could finish fighting the villain. But how in the world would she do that? 

'If only I hadn't gotten distracted thinking about Chat Noir!' She thought to herself as she de-transformed. "Stupid Cat." She grumbled.

Then Tikki then flew up to her face.

"Marinette! You've got to get us out of this mess! Without you in Paris who will capture the akuma?" Then Tikki's stomach growled. "And you've got to find me some food, I'm feeling hungry."

Marinette looked at her kwami with confident eyes. "Don't worry my Tikki, we will find you some food, and we will get out of wherever we are!" 

She put her kwami in her purse and started walking around the place. She seemed to be at a park. She scanned it. There seemed to be some benches scattered around, a large fountain in the middle, and a carrousel. Not to mention a lot of Pigeons. It looked much like the park outside of her parents' bakery. 

"Hey Tikki..." Marinette hesitated. "I think we are in Paris already."

I really enjoyed writing it and I have many ideas for the rest of the story. I'm not sure how many parts it will have, but I do have most of the plot figured out. I'm open to feedback/suggestions on what to add to future parts and I will mostly be publishing at least one part each week since I am busy with school and other stuff.
