late nights

its 2 am in the morning , another day goes by with me and kaidou , us waiting at the bus stop for the bus to arrive while cars pass by and the raindrops drop to our raincoat one by one.

we hold each others hands for warmth waiting for the bus to arrive

kaidou : "why is it taking so long im freezing"
"literally AAA" i get up from your seat and try to find some taxi cabs for me and kai
"mhm...kai come here"
kaidou gets up and hovers above you
"did u find any cabs?" he says
"no but theres a bookstore there.. we should cross cmon"
you grab his hand and run over to the other side of the road laughing with kai

both of you step into the warm bookstore putting each other's raincoats on the coat rack.

"ahh" kai says rubbing his neck whilst grabbing a book from one of the shelves

i follow kai taking his book from his hands
"now kai....diary of the wimpy kid..", i say raising your eyebrows teasingly
"its a good book shut up" kaidou says taking his book back and walking away to find another
i say quietly "yeah for little kids maybe"
kaidou hears it and gently punches me in the shoulder
"your favourite book is charlie and the chocolate factory. you CANNOT be talking" he says then scoffs
"i will defend that book with my life okay but im too tired to" i say as i walk to the counter

"why is there noone here" you think

you sigh as you lay down on a bright orange couch and close your eyes

kaidou : "hey hey don't sleep here lets go home"
you : "ughh come on im so tired and you're too.. slinky? to carry me anyways just let me sleeppp"
kaidou : "ok i'll prove to you that i can carry you get on jet black wings' back"
you : "if u insist , jet black wings"

he proceeds to carry you on his back gasping for air every step he takes to the bus stop

you : "you don't HAVE to carry me you know , i'm starting to feel bad"
kaidou : "i....can.....do...this...."

few minutes later~
kaidou : "OKAY I CAN CROSS THE ROAD I'LL JUST SPRINT FOR IT"
you : "AREN'T YOU TIRED LET ME GOO"

kai sprints across the street with you on his back and lets you go the second you guys are on the other side and sits down immediately gasping for air

you : "shit wait was this a bet do i have to pay you or something"
kaidou : "yes 100 yen"
you : "not even a please?"
kaidou : "nope"
you : "tomorrow maybe"
kaidou : "im remembering this"
you : "WAIT SHIT WE FORGOT OUR RAINCOATS"

an hour later~

its now 5am in the morning and both of you walk holding hands with wet hair as the rain pours heavily talking to each other about dead pets and pet peeves smiling at everything each other say

kai managed to find us a bus and we spent the rest of the morning sleeping on the bus till we finally arrive at my house with semi-dry hair and wet clothes <\3
