after a while y/n eventually slept on the bed even though she told kaidou she would sleep on the floor leaving kaidou on the balcony staring at the stars

god..how long have i been asleep and.. why is kaidou on the balcony just staring into space

y/n : "dude"
kaidou : "AAAAAAA"
y/n : "BOI SHUT UP"

i cover his mouth with my hand and look around to make sure noone woke up because of his scream

y/n : "what time is it why are you just staring at the stars"
kaidou : "idk feels cool to admire them sometimes"
y/n : "care to elaborate?"
kaidou : "why do you want to know"

kaidou turns his head with a teasing smirk on his face

y/n : "well then work harder for that i forgive you thing"
kaidou : "OK OK i'll tell"

y/n stares at his face waiting for the second part of that sentence

kaidou : "nah nevermind"
y/n : "I SWEAR TO GOD"
y/n : "i wont force you so im going to sleep"

kaidou grabs her hand as she was about to go to bed

kaidou : "cmon can't you just stay a little longer"
y/n : "do you think this is some enemies to lovers story?"
kaidou : "no.."
y/n "then?"
kaidou : "do you want it to be?"

silence filled the room as i had to do a doubletake on what he just said

his brown eyes kept staring at me while the stars were shining behind him and i could tell he was desperate for an answer by the way he was looking at me

kaidou : "just.."

i was freaking out and didn't know what to do

"..can you hold my hand?"

my eye felt like it was about to pop out of its socket and i was trying my best not to gasp knowing the same guy on the balcony im stargazing with that just asked me to hold his hand was the same guy that was the main reason i didn't have any friends during my high-school experience at PK Academy

instead of saying no like i wouldv'e something in me felt bad if i rejected him. i felt like the stars reminded him of someone he's close with or.. was close with so i took his soft hand and held it reassuringly with a smile

he kept staring at me for some reason

i could feel my face burning up so i turned my head to the stars but im pretty sure he noticed since i could see a tiny bit of his smile in the corner of my eye

y/n : "anyways you into stars?
kaidou : "you changing the subject isn't gonna work in th-"
y/n "do you want me to let go of your hand?"

kaidou shooked his head and looked at the stars once again

kaidou : "my dad used to tell me to stargaze every chance i'd get and i figured i would tonight"

i noticed he said "used to" and knew. i didn't really want to cross the line so i just nodded and kept holding his hand

y/n "they're really pretty i could see why he said that"

kaidou replied "yup.. they sure are.." looking at y/n the whole time making sure she didn't know he was actually talking about her

y/n yawned and let go of his hand slowly

y/n : "im.. going to sleep and my hand is all sweaty now ughhh "

kaidou watched her go to bed and eventually went to aren's room to go to sleep stopping a while to look at y/n one more time

kaidou pov :

the halls are dark asl how am i going to find his room..

kaidou went in circles spending approximately 15 minutes trying to find his purple headed bestfriend and eventually stopped to take a break

he sits against the door and decided to take a chance and open the door to see if its aren

everything was even darker than before so he couldn't see the face of the person in bed

"this is dumb what the hell am i doing what if its some random gir-"

??? : "i love you.. "

i recognised that voice. it was y/n. i felt happy hearing those words coming out of her mouth even though she was practically unconcious and dreaming.

y/n ".. aren"
