17. follow your heart

[06.45 PM] Chan's pov 

I came back from work and I parked the car. I stopped the engine and I got out my car with my things and locked my car and I went to the front door. when I came in my house, I heard some noise in the kitchen "Mrs.Kang is cooking'' I thought and I hang my jacket on the coat rack and I went to the kitchen

I saw Mrs. Kang cooking "Hello Mrs.Kang" I said and she turned around "oh hello Mr. Bang, already home?" she asked I nodded 

"what are you cooking" I asked "I make spaghetti" she said "ah okay, I'm going to set the table" I said "oh you don't need to" she said ''No I'm going to do it because you did already a lot of things for me" I said and I went out the kitchen to set the dinning table

[07.00 PM]

I was done with setting the table and I waited for Mrs.Kang but then she came with the food and she placed it on the table and she went  back to the kitchen

After a minute she came back with two glasses of water. She placed on the table and she sat on a chair
she scoops the food onto our plates

"Enjoy your meal" she said with smile "you too" I said and started to eat

[07.10 PM]

We were talking about different things "I forgot almost your father came today" she said and "oh yeah? Why?" I asked and I put some spaghetti in my mouth. "He asked of you already have girlfriend" she said and I choked almost on my food

"Oh..." I said and I looked down "but don't worry I said you don't have anyone" she said "thanks but you know I don't like girls, I mean I can't fall in love with them" I said "ofcourse I know that sweetie" she said and she gently stroked my hand

"but maybe it would be wise if you are going to tell them soon" she said "I know but I'm scared" I said "why?" She asked "for their reaction" I said

"Chan, I know you already so long and your parents are going to love you like who you are" she said with a warm smile, I smiled

"How is your secretary, Hyunjin was his name right? Did you already tell him?" She asked randomly

"Yes his name is Hyunjin and No I didn't tell him" I said "why? You like him right?" She asked "Yes I like him a lot but isn't it weird that a boss fall in love with his secretary" I said "no ofcourse not" she said

"Just follow your heart, maybe he felt the same thing" she said "you're right Mrs. Kang, you never know" I said and she smiled

After eating I sat on couch and watching TV. Mrs.Kang said she does the dishes

Mrs. Kang know things that my parents even don't know. My parents were always so I could never tell them  who I am really are like my sexuality
Sometimes I wanted to tell them but then my dad came with his homophobic joke. I always laughed at his jokes but it hurted me

So the most times I was alone with Mrs. Kang

I got off the couch and I said Mrs. Kang goodnight and I went upstairs to go to my bedroom and make myself ready for to sleep
