The Tale Of Time {Doctor Who X Reader}

The Empty Child: Part 2

The Doctor and {Y/N} follow Nancy and spot her walking into a shack beside the railroad. The Doctor looks down at {Y/N}'s injured hand, now wrapped in a bandage, before they walk towards the shack. Nancey turns in the direction of the two, after hiding her stolen goods, and jumps back slightly as she sees them standing there smiling.

"How'd you follow me here?" She asks nervously.

"I'm good at following people. Got the nose for it." The Doctor smiles.

"People can't usually follow me if I don't want them to."

"My nose has special powers." He jokes.

"Yeah? That's why it's..."

"What?" The Doctor asks confused, {Y/N} laughing beside him.

"Nothing."

"What?" The Doctor asks again.

"Nothing. Do your ears have special powers too?" {Y/N} laughs harder.

"What are you trying to say? What is she trying to say?" The Doctor looks at {Y/N} who was wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Goodnight, Mister." Nancy smiles.

"Nancy, to begin with, you're lucky. Cause that vase you threw did hurt her, but she made me promise on the way here to let it go. Let's see how long that lasts. And second-"

"Something is chasing you and the other kids isn't there. He looks like a boy, but he isn't just a boy. It started around a month ago, right? What we have been looking for, the thing that fell from the sky. It landed around the same time." {Y/N} says in a softer voice than the Doctor, trying to get to the point of them actually being there.

"And you know what we're talking about, don't you?" The Doctor adds.

"There was a bomb. A bomb that wasn't a bomb. Fell the other end of Limehouse Green Station." Nancy watches them with uncertainty.

"Take us there." The Doctor says.

"There's soldiers guarding it. Barbed wire. You'll never get through."

"Try us." He says confidently. 

"You sure you want to know what's going on in there?"

"Nancy, please. We want to know what happened." {Y/N} asks desperately.

"Then there's someone you need to talk to first."

"Who?" {Y/N} asks stepping forward slightly.

"The Doctor." Nancy goes to lead the way. The Doctor stares at her confused until a tug on his hand brought him out of his thoughts.

{Y/N} looks around their current location while the Doctor uses his super-binoculars to scan the area. "The bombs under that tarpaulin. They put the fence up overnight. See that building? The hospital."

{Y/N} looks into the distance, seeing a giant building, "What about it?" {Y/N} asks confused.

"That's where the doctor is. You should talk to him."

"For now, we're more interested in getting in there." The Doctor says, looking at the surrounded crash site.

"Talk to the doctor first." Nancy insists.

"Why?"

"Because then maybe you won't want to get inside." Nancy says as she walks away.

"Nancy? Where are you going?" {Y/N} questions.
