The Doctor, {Y/N} and Mrs Moore walk through the cooling tunnels, looking out for any Cybers as they do.

"You are not upgraded." A Cyberman states as it suddenly stands before the three.

"Yeah? Well, upgrade this." Mrs. Moore throws a small rod wrapped in copper wire at the Cyberman. It attaches to the metal, causing the Cyber to be shocked with electricity and brought to its knees.

"Oooh, what on Earth was that?" {Y/N} asks in amazement as she and the Doctor approach the Cyber in awe.

"Electromagnetic bomb. Takes out computers, I figured it might stop the Cyber-suit."

"You figured right. Now, let's have a look. Know your enemy." The Doctor kneels beside the Cyberman and sonics the brand on its suit. "A logo on the front. Lumic's turned them into a brand."

{Y/N} lifts the plate from the body and admires it. "Heart of steel." She mutters, looking over the technology.

"Oooh, look at that." The Doctor places his hand into the mechanism and removes a gelatinous, stringy substance from inside.

"Is that flesh?" Mrs. Moore asks skeptically.

"Hmmm. Central nervous system. Artificially grown then threaded throughout the suit so it responds like a living thing. Well, it is a living thing." The Doctor shrugs.

"Now that's what we're looking for. Emotional inhibitor. They use these to stop them feeling anything." {Y/N} explains as she strokes over the device.

"But why?"

"It's still got a human brain. Imagine its reaction if it could see itself, realise itself inside this thing. They'd go insane." The Doctor explains sadly.

"So, why do they cut out the one thing that makes them human?" Mrs. Moore asks.

"All because of what would happen if they knew." {Y/N} says sadly as she rests her hands on the metal frame.

"Why...am I...cold?"

"Oh, my God. It's alive. It can feel."

"We broke the inhibitor. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." The Doctor apologises.

"Why so cold?"

"Can you remember your name?" {Y/N} asks softly.

"Sally. Sally Phelan."

"You're a woman." Mrs. Moore says.

"Where's Gareth?"

"Who's Gareth?" Mrs. Moore asks.

"He can't see me. It's unlucky the night before."

"You're getting married." {Y/N} turns away from the scene sadly, trying to regain some composure. This woman was stripped of her humanity the night before the most important day of her life, and she didn't get a choice.

"I'm cold. I'm so cold."

"It's all right. You sleep now, Sally. Just go to sleep." The Doctor places his sonic screwdriver inside the chest cavity and switches her off. "Sally Phelan didn't die for nothing, because that's the key. The emotional inhibitor. If we could find the code behind it, the cancellation code, then feed it throughout the system into every Cyberman's head, they'd realise what they are." The Doctor states.

"And what happens then?" Mrs. Moore asks.

"It would probably kill them." {Y/N} states as she rises from the floor.
