Rise Of The Cybermen: Part 1

"The prototype has passed every test, sir. It's working." The Dr smiles.

"I hardly think 'working' is the correct word." A man in a robotic wheelchair says. "That would apply only to machines."

"I'm sorry. I should say it's alive." The Dr states in amazement.

"Can it hear me?" The man asks.

"It might still be in shock. Bear in mind the brain has been welded to the exoskeleton." The Dr explains.

"Skin of metal...and a body that will never age or die. I envy it. Do you know me?" The man asks the creation. "Answer. Do you know me?"

"You are John Lumic." A robotic voice sounds.

"My child." John Lumic says in amazement. "Mark this day, Dr. Kendrick. We are blessed."

"Well, it's not quite over yet sir. We need Geneva's approval. Technically, this is a new form of life, and that contravenes the Bio-Convention. They need to ratify this." Dr. Kendrick states.

"And they will refuse me." John Lumic states.

"Nonetheless, we need to tell them."

"And if I don't?" John Lumic threatens.

"Well, I'm sorry, sir, but it's my duty. I shall have to inform them." Dr. Kendrick states firmly.

"And how will you do that from beyond the grave?" John Lumic smiles.

"I don't quite understand." Dr. Kendrick says, sweating nervously.

"Kill him." John Lumic smiles.

The metal man reaches out, grasping Dr. Kendrick on the shoulder as he electrocutes him.

"Captain!" John Lumic says through the radio.

"Yes, sir?"

"Inform all staff, we have a new destination. Set sail for Great Britain!"

"And that weird munchkin lady with the big eyes? Do you remember? the way she looked at you! And then she opens her mouth and fire comes out!" The Doctor laughs with Rose and {Y/N}.

"I thought I was going to get frazzled!" Rose laughs, nodding repeatedly.

"Yeah. One minute she was just standing there-" {Y/N} laughs from her spot on the Doctor's lap.

"-And the next minute roar!" The Doctor adds, ticking {Y/N}'s sides as he mimics the roar.

"Yeah. Where was that, then? What happened?" Mickey asks with a strained smile from his spot at the console.

"Oh, it was on this er, this er planet thing. Asteroid. It's a long story, you had to be there." The Doctor says, waving his hand to dismiss the subject.

{Y/N} looks where Mickey was stationed at the console in confusion, noticing his finger pressed on a control. "Mickey? What are holding that for?"

"Because he told me to." Mickey replies, gesturing to the Doctor.
