{Y/N} walks into the washroom and leans against the sink, exhaling a heavy breath. The pinching in her chest was intolerable. That and the added lack of sleep were causing her emotions to be all over the place. Shakily she unbuttons the top portion of her outfit to look over the pained area.

A healing wound in the shape of a plus + was carved into her chest. One incision starts from the middle of her rib cage, between her breasts, and stops four inches from her belly button. The other crossed over from under her breasts.

The incisions were red and irritated from being pulled against the sutures and from being rubbed against her clothes. {Y/N} looks over the wound with a pained expression, ghosting her finger along the seams. "Defiantly need to wrap this." She whispers. Her mind trails to the Doctor, her best friend who she had been hiding this from. This wound was the reason she locked him out of her medical records in the TARDIS. A sudden knock on the door startles her.

"{Y/N}?" The Doctor asks concerned. "You okay?"

She clears her throat as she quickly buttons up her clothes. "Yeah, just...needed a breather. I'm coming." Taking a big calming breath she opens the door with a bright smile when she sees the Doctor's concerned expression. "What?"

"You wouldn't lie to me right?" He asks seriously.

"I lie to you all time...you know I do. You do it too." {Y/N} laughs confused. It was kind of their trademark to lie.

The Doctor frowns before looking to the floor in thought. "I mean more of, would you lie to me about something concerning you, personally? Something that I really should know."

{Y/N} smiles tightly at his words, a tremor of fear running through her. "No. I would tell you." The Doctor looks at her with questioning eyes as they flicker over her face before nodding.

"Okay, come on."

The two walk into the lounge, where Gwyneth was laying on the sofa.

"It's alright. You just sleep. " Rose says to Gwyneth as she begins to wake up.

"But my angels, miss. They came, didn't they? They need me?"

"They do need you, Gwyneth. You're their only chance of survival." The Doctor states. Rose looks up at him, her eyes squinted.

"I've already told you, leave her alone. She's exhausted and she's not fighting your battles..." Rose turns back to Gwyneth. "... drink this." She says handing her a glass.

"Well, what did you say, {Y/N}? Explain it again. What are they?" Charles asks from his position across the room.

"They are a form of alien." {Y/N} says running her hands through her hair tiredly.

"Like foreigners, you mean?" Sneed says, {Y/N} nods.

"Yeah, you can say that. But they are from up there." {Y/N} sighs as she points upwards.

"Brecon?" {Y/N} looks at Sneed defeated.

"Close. And they have been trying to get through from Brecon to Cardiff but the road's blocked. Only a few can get through and even then, they are weak. They can only test drive the bodies for so long, then they have to revert to gas and hide in the pipes." The Doctor explains as he stands beside {Y/N}.

"Which is why they need the girl." Sneed says, pointing towards Gwyneth.

"They're not having her." Rose says defensively, shaking her head. {Y/N} fidgets with her fingers as she tries to ignore the painful feeling of stretched skin. The Doctor, noticing her fidgeting, places his hands on her shoulder and presses his thumbs into her back soothingly.
