Once they are about 10 minutes away from the camp me and Henry finally start to talk, but quietly because we don’t want Ethan overhearing our conversation.
“Should we at least try to get Ethan on our side?” I ask
“I mean- Fine, we’ll try but if it doesn’t work… then I don’t know what we’re gonna do. He’ll most likely tell Pan if he’s not on our side,” Henry whispers to me
“Alright, great,” I say
After walking for a few more minutes I stop and turn around to face Ethan who is walking behind us
“Hey Ethan?” I ask him
“What?” he says
“Why are you here exactly? Why are you working for Pan?” I ask
“I don’t have a choice,” he says
“What do you mean you don’t have a choice?” Henry asks from beside me
“I have to work for him, and it’s not just like I can get off of the island with the snap of my fingers,” Ethan says
“ I thought you were really loyal to him or something, why are you telling us this?” I ask him
“Because I know what he does, I know who he really is,” Ethan tells us
“What do you mean?” I ask confused
“Well I’m sure Henry’s told you about how he got to the camp,” Ethan says surely
“You’re right,” I say while nodding my head
“Well then you know how Pan wants him and his heart,” Ethan says
“Yeah,”
“Well I know for fact that Pan will do anything to get to him,” Ethan states
“How do we know you’re telling the truth?” Henry asks
“You don’t, that’s the fun of it,” Ethan says with a smirk
“Well you better be. ‘Cause if not then you’re going to pay for it,” Henry says in a threatening tone
Ethan pauses and then smirks “Is that a threat?” he says sarcastically
“No. It’s a promise,” he says
“So will you help us?” I ask
“With what exactly?” he asks
“With getting off this island,” I say
“It depends, will I get off too?” Ethan asks
“If you actually help us then yes,” Henry says
“Well then looks like you two have a deal,” Ethan says
“Great,” Henry and I say in unison
“Well then, we should probably head back. It’s going to be probably a half-hour walk and we have to be back by sundown,” Ethan says
So all three of us turn around and head back to the camp right as the sun is setting. Once we all eat something which is not much considering we are on an island we all go to sleep and wait for a new day to arrive.
Alright, the next chapter is complete. I know it's short but other then that I don’t really know what to say so I guess all I’ll say is I hope that you have a good rest of your day/ night and goodbye
