~Half an Hour Later~

Frank's POV:

Thank gods for Thalia and Reyna's perfect timing! There was a huge awkward silence in the throne room that was filled when they arrived. We explained the situation and our plan pretty quickly, but they then said almost in unison "Where's the kid?"

"She is waiting in the gym." Zeus boomed "I sent Apollo to accompany her- who knows what she would do if we left her alone." Indeed, I had only just noticed the absence of the Music god, it was a little too quiet.

So, we took Thalia and Reyna to meet Zoe Jackson.

Reyna’s POV:

I walked next to Thalia, and we entered the gym. Diana- or Artemis… I guess- was standing to our right, and everyone else was trailing behind.

We stopped, and I saw Apollo standing in the centre of the gym- holding out a bow to a small child, who was continuously shaking her head.
“Come on, kiddo,” Apollo whined “I know you’ll love…” He trailed off as he sensed us “Thalia, Reyna,” He turned and nodded to us. The girl turned as well, and she had gone red.

“Uhhh-” Her eyes flickered around the room, glancing quickly at every Olympian; the other heroes; and finally, Me and Thalia. “Sup?” she tried, before earning a glare from Thalia.

“Why?” My partner began, I went to shush her- but the girl answered “I would assume you are asking about my name- but you don’t know it yet. So you must be asking about why my parents left." Thalia nodded furiously
"My parents hate some of the ‘heroes’ you haven’t at this camp. Two of them betrayed my parents just before the beach ceremony, summoning monsters in an attempt to kill my mum and dad- just so said traitors could- quote unquote- ‘Be the Best’!” She turned to me, and nodded- before continuing “They left a note, but would not name the traitors, because they were not sure who would believe them, although it was the truth!”

Thalia’s jaw dropped, at how much the child sounded like Annabeth when she told a story. I was holding mine shut. “And, just so you know: My full name…” The girl finished “Is Zoe Silena Bianca Jackson, and can I just say it is an honour to meet you both, my dad told me such great stories about you.” She grinned, and turned to Zeus, before saying- in a whiny voice- Come on, Big Z!" I almost gasped at how she addressed the King of Olympus “Say something, I’m bored of being the only one with a voice-box!” she chuckled, and it reminded me of Percy.

Poseidon's POV:

She reminded me so much of Perseus. I was about to comment on it when Thalia spoke up, “An honour to meet you as well, Jackson.” Both grinned, and My brother- Hades- spoke up “Well,” he sighed “I hate to interrupt this fun little meeting- but we have to gather the chosen heroes… Zoe,” he turned to my granddaughter “You will be staying at camp.”

Hell No!” I think we were all surprised at how she spoke to the lord of the underworld, and god who normally terrified demigods “You don’t scare me! No-one scares me! I’m helping- I can fight, I need to help. I need to…” she continued ranting, and the other gods were too surprised to do anything.

However, Athena did something unexpected. She silently stepped forward, and wrapped her grandchild in a hug. Zoe was surprised, so she stopped yelling. The next thing we knew, she was silently crying into the wisdom goddess’ shoulder. “6 months” she whimpered “I didn’t know what- what to do… so I waited. I left for camp after waiting fo- four months. They’re probably dead, aren’t they?” Athena began to rub the girls back, whispering- things that I could not hear- into her ear. After about a minute, Zoe pulled away, apologising a few times- before heading to leave.

I stopped her, placing my hand on her shoulder, and crouching down to her height “They are alive,” I whispered into her ear “Hades swore on the Styx that they were alive. We will find them, but I think they would kill us all if you went to the underworld aged 9.” She nodded, and muttered something about waiting at camp after all, and wanting an archery lesson from Artemis, and a music lesson with Apollo as compensation.

So!” The Lord of the Skies began, he did always have a flair for the dramatic. “We shall gather the heroes at the entrance of the underworld: DOA Records!”

~A/N: Sorry about the rubbish chapter (its just a filler really), and that I haven't uploaded in a while- I've been suffering with a bout of the dreaded writer's block! Hope you enjoyed :) ~
