"Dad! Dad!" He heard Stormy call out, as she came rushing into his office.
"What the hell is it!? Damn child, I'm old now my ears can't handle this." He said as she stopped in front of him.
"Oh hush! You're only fifty-five. Still plenty young, to hear you, you'd think you were eighty."
"I'm your father, so sometimes it feels that way." He said, with an amused smirk at her gasp of indignation.
"I'll have you know that I am a fucking delight. Just ask Die, he'll tell you."
Yoshiki laughed and held his arms out to her, which she willingly stepped into. He kissed her cheek as she stood back again.
"What has you in such a tizzy anyway?" He asked as she stepped back.
She gave him a strange smile that he couldn't quite put his finger on and it had him on edge.
"Are you sure you want to know? It's gonna make you feel like you're a hundred rather than eighty."
"What is it!? Otherwise the suspense will kill me before then." He answered.
She laughed and then reached into her purse and pulled out a polaroid type photo. He felt his breath catch as she slid it over to him. He, taking a deep breath, lifted the photo from his desk and looked at it. In seconds, his eyes were filling and his hand came up to cover his mouth.
He looked back at Stormy, uncaring if she saw his emotions.
"Oh my, little dove. How far?"
"Ten weeks. I just found out though, so I haven't even had time to tell Die. I came straight here instead!"
"You told me, your father, that you were pregnant before you told your baby's father!? Uh sweetie, that's not how it's supposed to work, you have that a little backwards." He said with a laugh. "And what do you mean, you only just found out?"
"All the travelling with Die and Dir en Grey, messed with my cycles, so they became really irregular. So I didn't have the traditional warning. So I went to the doctor today to try and get regulated again and boom pregnant. Because it had been a while since my last period, they scanned me to figure out when it happened. And yes I told you, before Die. You're my dad and I've shared all the big milestones with you, why should telling you that you're going to be a grandfather be any different." She answered with a grin.
He laughed again and stood, pulling her into a tight hug.
"Congratulations little dove! I can't wait to meet your little one." He said and rubbed her nose with his, just like he always used to do.
"I can't wait for you to meet him or her either Otou. I really can't." She said hugging him back even tighter.
