*Caroline's pov*

After school, I was at my locker when I felt someone watching me.

I looked around and didn't see anyone. So I shut my locker and started to leave.

"I hate to do this to you. I really do. But a guy's gotta eat."

"Good luck. I'm not human."

"You're a vampire?"

"Yeah. I'm Caroline."

"I'm Rory. This is Erica."

I looked at the two vampires in front of me.

A tall, pretty blonde girl and a shorter, nerdy, blonde boy.

"How long have you been a vampire, Caroline?"

"Almost a year. I got bit shortly after my 16th birthday."

Erica smiled a little and put her hand on my shoulder.

"We'll help you out. White Chapel isn't exactly a normal town."

"Thanks. I'm having some problems."

"Girl talk. Rory, go away."

Rory does what Erica tells him and leaves. Then Erica walks outside with me.

"Tell me everything. Maybe I can help you."

*Benny's pov*

Ethan and I were leaving school to go play video games when we heard voices.

"Tell me everything. Maybe I can help you."

Ethan pulled me behind a wall.

"That's Erica."

"But who's she talking to?"

"I don't know. Let's find out."

Ethan and I slowly looked around the wall to see Erica talking to a brunette girl with braids.

"Well, there's this guy. I met him at the park a couple days ago. He's so cute. A little awkward. But he's cute."

"Awkward and cute? What's his name?"

"Benny. His name is Benny."

"I know him."

"Yeah. I thought you might. But I can't be near him."

"Strict parents?"

"No. It's his blood. It's really hard to resist it."

"Oh. Does he know what you are?"

"No. I don't think so."

I looked at Ethan and he looked as shocked as I felt.

"Caroline's a vampire?"

"And she's having trouble resisting your blood, Benny."

"This is not good...."
