First thoughts: Ash's litten and rockruff didn't interact very much in the anime. I honestly don't really know why people ship this, I prefer shipping litten with Lana's popplio or even Lillie's alolan vulpix.
Would I read a fic of it?: I dunno...not really.
Shippable?: In my opinion...not really. There was little to no chemistry between the two, and they literally just started interacting after rockruff evolved into lycanroc, so in my opinion...if they are anything at all, they are just friends/rivals.
