First thoughts: I quite love this one actually. I do NOT ship Haruki and Kage at all (I'm sure some people do though, Ups and Downs is becoming quite a fandom), but regardless I still love this ship. I do like this ship though and spoilers: It will be featured in Show Yourself, so technically this is Elizabeth and Duncan (If you don't know what I'm talking about, its one of my lesser known stories).
Would I read a fic of it?: Sure! I have no objections at all. Just because I ship sylbreon doesn't mean I can't appreciate other ships. This is either my second or third choice for umbreon, and maybe my third for leafeon. I don't know really, but both of these eeveelutions are in my top three.
Shippable?: Yes. It's very cute. It seems like a bad boy ship to me, and I know that's cliche, but its what draws me to this ship.
Final Score: 10/10. Not quite an otp, but I really love it.
