Kenny enters the Fossil Stadium and walks up to the desk. He asks Tiffany to be signed up for his Level-Up Battle.

Tiffany: "May I please see your Fighter's License?" Kenny hands Tiffany his license, "Ah, yes. Kenny, Level 1 Fighter. I'll give you a brief explanation of Level-Up Battles. First, you'll take a fossil rock cleaning test. Then if you pass the cleaning test, you'll move on to the Fossil Battle portion of the test.

Tiffany: "Depending on your level, this portion of the test may involve multiple battles or unusual rules. First is the cleaning test. When you're ready, head on through the door to your right."

Kenny enters the door and walks to the end of the hallway, seeing KL34N.

KL-34N: "DEET-DEET-DEET! Time for your cleaning test-- VEEP. You need at least 55 points to pass-- VOOP. Let's begin! VEEEEP!"

Timeskip past this cuz cleaning is b o r i n g, amirite

KL-34N: "Excellent! You passed your cleaning test-- DEETDEETDEET! Go see Tiffany at the reception desk for information on your Fossil Battle test-- VOOP!"

Kenny watches KL34N leave as he goes back over to Tiffany's desk.

Tiffany: "Congratulations on passing your cleaning test! Next is your Fossil Battle test. For this Fossil Battle test, you'll have one battle with a Level 1 Master. You will officially level up if you can defeat your opponent. Whenever you're ready, go on through the door to your right to the Battle Area."

Kenny stands infront of the door as he steadies his breathing. He enters the door and walks down the long hallway. Once he reaches the end, he sees it to be... 

Kenny: "Wendy?"

Wendy: "You may know me as the Fossil Center receptionist, Wendy. But today, you can call me the Level 1 Master, and your opponent! I'll be testing you, Kenny, to see if you're qualified to become a Level 2 Fighter. I won't be taking it easy on you, so give me everything you've got."

Kenny: "I'll give it my all. I don't plan on losing this battle."

Wendy enters the arena as the crowd cheers. Kenny soon enters after her as the crowd continues cheering. The Formation Screen pops up on his watch as he considers his options. Kenny switches V-Raptor to the AZ and Spinax to the SZ.

He clicks the "Ready" button as he goes to his side of the arena. They both throw their Dino Medals as their SZ vivosaurs apply support effects. Wendy has first attack.

Wendy: "V-Raptor, Toxic Combo!" Her V-Raptor rushes Kenny's V-Raptor as it claws and kicks at the skin, releasing a poison into his V-Raptor. His V-Raptor is knocked back and starts to feel weaker from the poison. Wendy ends her turn.
